EV HITS HIGHEST RECORD IN DAILY CASES WITH 97 NEW CASES

As of 9PM today, August 20, 2020, the Department of Health- Eastern Visayas reports the total number of COVID-19 cases and recoveries in the region at 1,918 and 1,224 (63.82%), respectively. This brings the total active cases to 685.

The EVRCTC has released a total of 748 laboratory results. Of which, 186 is Bicol Region results and 562 is for the Eastern Visayas Region.

Of the total laboratory results released by the EVRCTC for Region 8, 486 are negative and 76 are positive for COVID-19.

The 76 new cases are tagged as patients EV-1822 to EV-1897 with details below.

At 5:00 AM of May 31, 2020, INTER AGENCY TASK FORCE (IATF) of Hilongos Municipality in participation of Hilongos PS personnel under the leadership of PMAJ JAYSON P BALBARONA, COP, together with personnel from BFP and MDRRMO conducted Quarantine Control checkpoint on hilongos border located at Brgy. Bantigue and Brgy. Naval, Hilongos, Leyte respectively. The said activity aims to monitor and control the flow of vehicles (public and private) entering Hilongos area in order to avert the spread of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19).

Hilongos Anti-Illegal Drug Operation

On April 27, 2020 at 3:30 in the afternoon at Barangay Liberty, Hilongos,Leyte, team from Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Hilongos Police Station led by PMAJ JAYSON P BALBARONA conducted s buy-bust operation against the suspect one Ariel Agravante y Ybañez , 23 years old ,single, laborer and a resident of Pure Caimito, Brgy. Liberty , Hilongos ,Leyte.
Bought from the suspect was one (1) sachet of chabu worth five hundred pesos( P 500.00) .
Further search incident to a lawful arrest was recovered of three (3) pcs heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabby with estimated street value of P 1,500.00 one (1) pc Five Hundred Peso Bill (Php 500.000 subscribed marked money with serial number MK 072806.
The arrested suspect was brought to Hilonos Police for issuance of receipt of seized and confiscated drug and non-drug items.
