Their are 79 mosque in Iligan City and each mosque has one Imam, our office will be expected the 79 Imam to attend in this General Assembly.

The office of the Maranao, Higa-unon & other cultural communities under the City Mayor's Office (CMO - OMaHCC ) celebrate the World Hijab Day, February 1, 2023 at the Iligan Public Plaza with the theme MODESTY is the KEY.

The City Mayor's Office - Office of the Maranao, Higa-unon & Other Cultural Communities (CMO - OMaHCC) together with the National Commission on Muslim Filipino (NCMF) was distributed 300 Hijab (Scarf) to all Muslim and non-Muslim women. We also demonstrate on how to wear proper hijab.

Wearing hijab symbolized the dignity, reapect, honor, and barrier that blocks your negativity coming your way. Hijab is a head scarf worn by Muslim women conceals the hair and neck and usually has a free veil that cover the face.
