6th Organic Asia Congress

On June 4, 2023, the Kalilang Traditional Music Ensemble delivered a stunning performance during the Grand Opening of The Ritual of Lidagat for the 6th Organic Asia Congress held in Kauswagan, LDN. During the Grand Opening of The Ritual of Lidagat, KTME performed its traditional masterpieces that showcase the "kapsagayan and Kapagapir".
On the other half, the Governor's Night (June 6,2023), the KTME was honored to be a part of the special occasion. The performers took the stage with their traditional instruments, including kulintang, gongs, and debakan with their multi-talented performers as they showcased the traditional "kapkalilang".
The performance by the KTME was absolutely breathtaking. The ensemble's passion and performers' talent shone through every aspect of the performance, and the audience was left feeling truly moved by the experience. It was a truly unforgettable way to kick off the 6th Organic Asia Congress, and the Kalilang Traditional Music Ensemble left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
Overall, it was a successful and fulfilling experience for our Kalilang Traditional Music Ensemble, showcasing our talent and culture to a wider audience. We hope to have more opportunities like these to share our music and promote our rich cultural heritage.

Look! Two of our Alumni were recognized by the BARMM-LDS commissioner, Robert Maulana Marohombsar Alonto. The two performers were Alirafe Olama and Rashid Magarang who spectacularly performed one of the best epic stories of Moros', the "Darangen".
The said performance was performed during grand opening of the National Heritage Month 2023 with the theme, βPreserving the Bangsamoro Heritage through Living Traditionsβ, held at Cotabato City ,May 29,2023.

Our highlight poster series for this year's Gabi ng Sining continues with the Kalilang Traditional Music Ensemble. Also known as the Kalilang, the group places sharing and passing on the age-old tradition of the Maranao kulintang ensemble as its heart and core. A tradition where rich tapestries, inspiring and sonorous melodies, captivating rhythms, and regal movements take centerstage.
Join us on February 24, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at the University Gymnasium to witness the Kalilang's exhilarating performance with the University's other performing groups.
