Making Everyone Safe -Emergency Reporting Mobile App An emergency reporting mobile app design to help local government units in the Philippines in terms of public safety and security

Iligan City suffered greatly in the past from disasters which costs many lives and hundreds of millions worth of properties. Thus, Mayor Frederick Siao made such an effort to address these challenges and to make everyone safe through technology -not for the grandeurs of it but because it is best to do so and because he has to.

Introducing eCitizens App, the Township Innovation Management App cornerstone project of the City Government of Iligan funded by DOST. It is a real-time emergency reporting mobile app with GIS-based Emergency Dispatch System. Using eCitizen the Iligan City Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office crowdsourced real-time emergency reporting from the community allowing users to easily contact, alert local command center of life-threatening incidents. While responders from CDRRMO, PNP, BFP, Hospitals, etc. are notified immediately the moment emergencies are reported through the mobile app hence resulting to prompt dispatch and response.

In the coming months eCitizen will have some series of promotions, orientations and educational drive in schools, malls and to other public places.

We call upon the public and also to encourage Iliganons to download eCitizen and signup -you'll be helping not just yourself or your family but everyone who will be needing your help in the future.

The more users we have the more we can keep everyone in the city safe.

Iligan Smart City Initiatives

Center for Digital Iligan Innovation and Sustainability together with the full support of DOST Lanao del Norte , headed by Provincial Director Engr. Roy C. Sagrado and co-founder of eCitizens App, Mr. Andrews Libradilla, visited the National Telecommunications office 10, headed by Regional Director Teodoro D. Buenavista, Jr.

eCitizen Philippines stands as a cornerstone for the ILIG-ON-NOVATION initiative on Township Innovation Management App funded thru the DOST SMART Cities project of which Iligan City is a pilot LGU in the country.

Grateful to NTC10, for their positive feedback in contributing to a collaborative effort towards a SMARTer and sustainable solutions for the community.

Another job well done for our MDRRMO focals in LGU Baroy. Last week we managed to to visit all barangays in the Municipality of Baroy and presented eCitizen and how to use the app. Thank you Mayor Grelina Lim your for all your support and for making your community safer.

Kudos to our ICDRRMO focals Butch, Shane and Abel in Iligan for taking the lead to bring eCitizen App to all the barangays. Hope to see more users onboard! Thank you guys 💙 especially to Sir Rosco and Ma’am Armien Alorro for their support.

Last week, we had the opportunity to present our mobile application in front of Provincial and local DRRMO heads, Governors and Mayors. It was both motivating and exciting knowing how positive the reception was of our technology.

Gapadayon ang BETA Testing dinhi sa Iligan sa eCitizen App. Ang eCitizen usa ka mobile application diin maka-report ang mga sibilyan og mga emerhensya direkta sa Command Center sa Iligan City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ICDRRMO), maka-susi sa serbisyo sa LGU, maka-download og forms ug uban pa.

Gi-garantya sa developer sa app ang data privacy sa mga mo-rehistro o mag-install sa app. Ang eCitizen App, ang usa sa haligi sa ILIG-ON-NOVATION initiative's transformative Township Innovation Management App (TIMApp).

Suportado kini ni City Mayor Freddie Siao ug sa Department of Science and Technology (DOST). Gilunsad ang app sa Iligan niadtong February 26, 2024. Ang creator ug co-founder sa app nga si Andrews Libradilla usa ka Iliganon.

Next Monday, February 26, together with Iligan City Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office with the support of Center for Digital Iligan, Innovation & Sustainability and DOST Lanao del Norte our mobile application and GIS solution (under LGU Iligan TMapp) will have its beta test and shall run for the next few weeks.

We'd like to invite, encourage everyone in Iligan to download, signup and be one of our beta testers. For Android users you can download our app at Google Playstore just search 'eCitizen Ph'.

We had an amazing time with our focals and interns last night.

We are so hype last night that we’d like to manifest, that we dont just mean to be part of all the efforts of making everyone safer, but rather we mean to lead it. Big thanks to our Iligan City Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office focals, interns for being supportive and proactive of eCitizen mobile application.

Also, to Center for Digital Iligan, Innovation & Sustainability, DOST Lanao del Norte and DOST Office of the Undersecretary for Regional Operations for supporting us as well. Without you guys we’d be far from making this a reality.

Together let’s build a strong, effective and prompt public safety and security response force.

Earlier today, our team conducted its first Operators and Responders orientation of (Township Management Application) eCitizen as part of our preparation for Iligan's Beta testing.

Thank you Center for Digital Iligan, Innovation & Sustainability, LGU Iligan City and Iligan City Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office. Lastly, to our partners from PNP, BFP, Traffic who attended the orientation.

Within the week we will be able to announce the final date of the Beta test.

Earlier today we presented eCitizen app. before the Public Safety & Security Council of Iligan City. Among the attendees were from PNP, BFP, CDRRMO, CSU, Philippine Coastguard and more.

The eCitizen app developed for the Ilig-On-Novation initiative on Township Management App . This is funded thru the DOST SMART Cities project of which Iligan City is a pilot LGU in the country.

Earlier today our team together with Center for Digital Iligan, Innovation & Sustainability personnel, interns, and DOST PCIEERD had our final simulation this is in preparation for our upcoming beta test for Iligan. The simulation took place at Brgy. Poblacion Command Center -our pilot site.

So far, everything (features, functionalities) are working, the simulation was a success. Also, during our discussions we gained valuable insights and suggestions from our counterparts that will make eCitizen App. better and more useful.

🚀 Yesterday, our development team had a successful onsite simulation together with the command center personnel. We tested our mobile app, our Emergency Dispatch System while immersing operators and developers in the process. This is just one of many simulations that we will be doing to make sure eCitizen is fully working and 100% effective. So while talking to the personnel about the features and functionalities then hearing all so goody / positive feedback really made us proud and excited to offer this and make eCitizen app available to everyone out there -soon.

By the way, our app is not meant to replace existing procedures rather it is a tool to help the real heroes (responders) so we can make everyone safer. Our partners are the ones who really makes our app work and who makes the difference.
