USEC following the suggestions from the political parties during the meeting with Dr. Malata last Thursday, April 18, 2024, the USEC has decided to maintain the original deadline for filing the Certificate of Candidacy. Regarding the delay in submitting some requirements, the deadline for the Transcript of Records (TOR) and Affidavit of Undertaking for graduating students is extended until Friday, April 26, 2024, at 12:00 noon. These documents should be submitted to the USEC's official email at [email protected].

2024 𝗪𝗩𝗦𝗨 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 | Hello, taga-West! To ensure seamless access to Quester, our voting platform, please update your email addresses in your IUIS accounts. Be sure to use your institution's email ([email protected]).

The students of West Visayas State University have a defining moment to this election outcome.

With an unfortunate scenario, some candidacies were revoked with the recent interpretation of the WVSU Constitution by the Student Court at West Visayas State University: This has caused a stir among the student body, delaying the continuation of the election. It was then pursued that there would be a substitution of disqualified candidates; it was final and irrevocable, as the Student Court has said.

The USEC will still push through with the election. We believe that it is important to uphold the democratic process and give every student the opportunity to have their voices heard. With this, the decision of students at West Visayas State University will be heeded in this election.
