TIPS OF THE DAY

Someone asked Bill Gates,

Is there anyone richer than you in the world ?”

Bill Gates replied, “Yes, there is a person who is richer than me.”

He then narrated a story.

“It was during the time when I wasn’t rich or famous.

“I was at the New York Airport when I saw a newspaper vendor.

“I wanted to buy one newspaper but found that I didn’t have enough change. So I left the idea of buying and returned it to the vendor.”

“I told him of not having the change.
The vendor said, ‘I am giving you this for free.’
On his insistence I took the newspaper.”

“Coincidentally, after two to three months, I landed at the same airport and again I was short of change for a newspaper.
The vendor offered me the newspaper again. I refused and said that I can’t take it for I don’t have change today too. He said, ‘You can take it, I am sharing this from my profit, I won’t be at loss.’
I took the newspaper.”

“After 19 years I became famous and known by people.
Suddenly I remembered that vendor.
I began searching for him and after about 1½ months of searching, I found him.”

“I asked him, ‘Do you know me?’
He said, ‘Yes, you are Bill Gates.’ “

“I asked him again, ‘Do you remember once you gave me a newspaper for free?’ “

“The vendor said, ‘Yes, I remember. I gave you twice.’ “

“I said, ‘I want to repay the help you had offered me that time.
Whatever you want in your life, tell me, I shall fulfill it.’ “

“The vendor said, ‘Sir, don’t you think that by doing so you won’t be able to match my help?’ “

“I asked, ‘Why?’ “

“He said, ‘I had helped you when I was a poor newspaper vendor and you are trying to help me now, when you have become the richest man in the world.
How can your help match mine ?’ “

“That day, I realized that the newspaper vendor is richer than I am, because he didn’t wait to become rich to help someone.” Infact, am happy today that he's living well, glory be to God Almighty 🙏.

Brothers and sisters today, let's learn to help people with the little we have today because same little help may be the only source of help tomorrow.

People need to understand that the truly rich are those who possess a rich heart rather than lots of money .

Christian women, wag tayong maldita.

“Ayoko kay ganito kasi ganyan ugali niya”
“Di ko siya pinapansin kasi di ko siya feel”
“Never ko talaga nagustuhan ugali niyan”

Christian women, wag tayong ma-attitude.

Wag tayong namimili ng taong pakikisamahan natin ng mabuti lalo na sa mga kapwa natin babae, mapa Christian man or unbeliever.

Ang dali kumanta ng mga hymns every Sunday and mag suot ng mga naghahabaang damit. Pero ang godly character is mahirap i-cultivate. And one thing that concerns me a lot sa ating Christian women is yung “attitude” natin.

Kapag ayaw mo sa isang tao, specially sa kapwa natin babae, mamalditahan mo. Tatarayan mo. Hindi mo papansinin pag nakita mo sa mga fellowships. Titignan mo from head to toe with judgements, lalo nasa bawat kilos niya kapay ayaw mo sa kaniya. Pag uusapan ninyo ng mga friends mo, at bawat maliliit na bagay na makita niyo sa kaniya pag uusapan or pag tatawanan niyo kahit wala naman kayong idea sa kung bakit ganon ang nakikita niyo sa kaniya.

Pwede ba? Itigil natin yung ganitong attitude? Napaka pangit. Para tayong mga magagandang lalagyan sa labas pero may panis na nakalagay sa loob. Mahaba nga damit mo, hymnals nga kinakanta mo, KJV only ka, lahat ng post mo may bible verse, proud baptist ka, lahat na! Hindi jan nakikita ang light! The question is may fruit ba ng pagiging godly woman? May fruit of the Spirit ba? In your words and actions? In your thoughts, in your heart? Nakikita ba sayo ng mga nakakasama mo yung love for other people? Your love for God and His Word? Pwede rin kasing minsan kind ka sa iba, nagbabasa ka nga ng Bible pero hindi pure ang hearts natin.

Itigil mo yang kamalditahan mo. Itigil mo yang pag tataray mo. Stop saying “ay ayoko sa kaniya”, “ayoko ugali nyan kaya di ko pinapansin” , “ay may kasalanan yan sakin dati kaya di ko pinapansin” etc., ugali mo ba maganda? Lahat ng ginawa at ginagawa mo tama? Just please stop. Wag puro amen lang sa preaching. I-pursue mo rin ang “TOTOONG” relationship kay Lord and be submissive to Him. And ipatama natin ang puso natin sa Panginoon.

KNOW WHEN TO BE SILENT! 👇🤫

2. Be silent - when you don't have all the
facts.
3. Be silent - when you haven't verified the
story.
4. Be silent - if your words will offend a
weaker person.
5. Be silent - when it is time to listen.
6. Be silent - when you are tempted to make
light of holy things.
7. Be silent - when you are tempted to joke
about sin.
8. Be silent - if you would be ashamed of
your word later.
9. Be silent - if your words would convey the
wrong impression.
10. Be silent - if the issue is none of your
business.
11. Be silent - when you are tempted to tell
an outright lie.
12. Be silent - if your words will damage
someone else's reputation.
13. Be silent - if your words will damage a
friendship.
14. Be silent - when you are feeling critical.
15. Be silent - if you can't say it without
screaming.
16. Be silent - if your words will be a poor
reflection of your friends and family.
17. Be silent - if you may have to eat your
words later.
18. Be silent - if you have already said it more
than one time.
19. Be silent - when you are tempted to
flatter a wicked person.
20. Be silent - when you are supposed to be
working instead!!

𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗: Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) Director Teresito Bacolcol said that the country could experience earthquakes stronger than magnitude 8.

"The Philippine Archipelago is actually compressed on both sides by the Eurasian Plate and the Philippine Sea Plate, but the Eurasian Plate is almost immobile. The strong motion would come from the Philippine Sea Plate. We are being pushed towards the northwest," Bacolcol said in an interview with GMA News.

“The Philippine Trench here in Samar is capable of generating [magnitude] 8.1 and when that happens, puwedeng mag generate ng tsunami as high as 10 meters. Dito naman sa Manila Trench, puwede siya mag generate ng [magnitude] 8.3 earthquake,” he said.

He added that it might take only five minutes for the first tsunami waves to arrive following the earthquake, making it challenging to send out tsunami alerts as quickly as possible.

Bacolcol urged those living along the coast to recognize the signs of "Shake, Drop, and Roar" following a powerful earthquake.

"When there is a strong shaking to the point you can barely move or can’t stand, there is a sudden drop of sea level, and there is a roaring sound coming from the sea… If that’s one of the things you’ve observed, you have to evacuate to a higher place immediately if you’re in a coastal community," he pointed out.

Bacolcol issued the remarks after a magnitude-7.2 earthquake hit eastern Taiwan on Wednesday, killing 10 people.

Last June, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said over 60,000 fatalities and 120,000 missing people were expected if a 7.2-magnitude earthquake, or the ''Big One'' hit Metro Manila.
