After their impactful volunteer efforts, our Japanese students embarked on another heartwarming journey by visiting the Aeta community, with invaluable assistance from Istar Iloilo! Laughter echoed as they joined in traditional Filipino party games and immersed themselves in the community's daily activities, from navigating steep roads to fetching water and preparing meals together. Their presence brought joy and strengthened bonds within the community. In addition to their joyful interactions, the students generously donated items, sparking smiles and instilling hope among the Aeta residents.

Capping off this heartwarming experience, the students enjoyed a delicious lunch at Ontoy’s Grill & Chill, solidifying the bonds forged during their visit. As the activity came to a close, the Cabatuan LGU graciously lent us their cultural hall for a culminating event. We extend our sincere thanks for their support that provided a meaningful space for our students to conduct the closing activity.

Inside the cultural hall, the Japanese students had the opportunity to share their impactful experiences with everyone present. Following their heartfelt reflections, they were presented with gifts from the facilitators, along with the beautifully tie-dyed bags they made at CUI as cherished mementos of their time spent volunteering.

Our amazing Japanese students explored the beauty of Guimaras with a fun-filled island-hopping adventure at Taklong Island National Marine Reserve - TINMR!

They marveled at a mangrove area which is also a breeding ground for fish. The crystal-clear water, white sand beaches, and a friendly volleyball game made it a perfect day in paradise. To top it off, they even prepped and enjoyed a delicious "boodle fight" lunch - a true Filipino feast!

Have you ever been to Guimaras? What's your favorite island to visit?

After planting at Leganes Integrated Katunggan EcoPark, our Japanese students continued their volunteer day spreading kindness and fun at the Crisis Intervention Unit- Iloilo City with teachers of Grow Abacus. They brought joy through creative activities like tie-dyeing bags and enjoyed song and dance performances. Most importantly, the students connected with the unit's clients, creating a heartwarming experience that became a highlight of their trip!

Our amazing Japanese students teamed up with Eden Grace Academy International on their 3rd volunteer day at Leganes Integrated Katunggan EcoPark. Together, they learned about the park's incredible conservation efforts, planted mangroves (did you know these store 5x more carbon than rainforests!), and even shared a delicious breakfast! They finished the day off with a true Filipino experience - lunch at Jollibee! Follow along for more heartwarming moments and cultural exchanges as our students continue their volunteer tour in the Philippines!

Building bonds over shared experiences! From market to mealtime, these Filipino students of Scuola Bambini dei Santa Barbara Inc. and Japanese students had a blast on their volunteer tour in Barangay Sta Cruz, San Miguel Iloilo! Going to the market, harvesting, prepping, and then enjoying a delicious meal together - teamwork makes the dream work (and the food tastes even better)!

This wasn't just about learning new skills or exploring a new place—it was about building connections that transcend borders and cultures. A heartfelt appreciation goes out to the San Miguel Iloilo Lgu, Barangay Officials of Brgy. Sta. Cruz, SB Sherwin Rochin Sanchez and Ma'am Maria Rosa Caoyonan whose support made this incredible journey possible. Here's to the magic of teamwork, the joy of discovery, and the beauty of friendship.

Revisiting the recent city tour undertaken by our Japanese students, we recall their journey through Iloilo City's cultural landmarks. Starting at the historic century old Jaro Cathedral. They also tried several local foods at Patpat's Kansi.

Their itinerary also included a stop at Festive Mall where they visited the first brandy museum in the Philippines. They look into the artistry of distillation.

They also visited a City Hall for a stroll and acquainting themselves with the municipal heritage and civic significance.They explored Downtown's historical building and drop by Fort San Pedro, the oldest fort in Iloilo. Then, wrapping up the tour by visiting boutiques offering affordable shopping experience for them.

As they explored, they linked the past to the present, creating a rich tapestry of sharing and understanding. Their tour was all about soaking in the sights, flavors, and history of Iloilo City.
