Today, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, the Cavite State University Emergency Response and Airsoft Team (CERAT) successfully conducted its first official General Assembly via 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭. This virtual event served as an essential platform to orient students on CERAT’s mission, operational structure, and the roles within the team.

The assembly featured a reading of the 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐲𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐬 , establishing a strong foundation for CERAT's values and operational guidelines. Students were also 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓'𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬, ensuring everyone has a clear understanding of the leadership behind the team.

The provinces of 𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞, 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐚, 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐳𝐨𝐧 have declared a state of emergency due to the severe damage caused by Tropical Storm Kristine. This declaration allows local governments to use emergency funds to help people affected by the storm and to control the prices of essential goods.

In response to the challenges posed by Typhoon Kristine, Cavite State University has announced a shift to 𝐚𝐬𝐲𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 from 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟖 𝐭𝐨 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟏. This temporary adjustment prioritizes the well-being and safety of students and faculty, allowing time for recovery and ensuring that health comes first amidst the disruptions. The Administration has heeded our call. Due to the power outage, water interruption, and other challenges brought by Typhoon Kristine, classes in all levels in all campuses will be conducted in asynchrounous mode on October 28-31.

𝗦𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄:

"Good evening! Classes shall be held asynchronously on October 28-31, 2024, across all levels and all CvSU campuses, in light of the power outage, water interruption, and other situations caused by Typhoon Kristine.

Faculty members are encouraged to give due consideration to students heavily affected by the storm.

All non-academic personnel, as well as faculty members with major designations, are expected to report starting October 28 to attend to the various concerns of the community as we recover from the impact of . Faculty members without major designations may work from home.

An official communication/memorandum regarding this matter will be released soon.

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 of the "𝑹𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒇 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏", led by the 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 – 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 together with other Organization. The CERAT was assigned with 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 and their fellow 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 to visit different dormitories to check students affected by Bagyong Kristine and for those who needs medical assistance. 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐯𝐒𝐔 worked tirelessly to pack and distribute relief goods, conduct a campus-wide clean-up drive, and check dormitories to ensure no student was left behind or in need of assistance.

When 𝙆𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙚 hit, many students found themselves isolated and in need of basic supplies. 𝟭𝟬 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧 and 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 united to ensure the success launch of “𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐅 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍” initiated by 𝘾𝙎𝙂. Their unwavering commitment to supporting our youth—providing food, water, hygiene products, and other essentials—has been truly inspiring.

Together, they embodied the essence of unity in times of crisis. Their kindness and commitment serve as a reminder that when we put ourselves together to support one another, there is always light, even in the darkest circumstances. We are grateful that we were able to positively impact the lives of those who most needed it!

In the latest Facebook post from the Dean of CvSU Graduate School and Open learning College, Dr. Bettina Joyce P. Ilagan.
She posted that tomorrow, October 26, 2024, all classes in all campuses of Cavite State University is suspended.

Fifty-two volunteers are currently assisting in the Relief Operation Drive for those in or near Indang, Cavite.

Volunteers are currently conducting rounds for a headcount of those in need in or near Indang, Cavite.

To everyone in or near Indang, Cavite, we invite you to join us at the Main HQ, CSPEAR Gymnasium, for our relief operations today and tomorrow. Your support will make a big difference!

📣 CSG RELIEF OPERATIONS TODAY! 📣

The CSG will roam around the Municipality of Indang to provide relief goods to those students who are stranded with their dormitories.

If you're able to go to CvSU, you can get the relief goods for those who live near at the University Gymnasium.

The operation will start from 1:00 in the afternoon onwards. Please wait for us and keep safe.
