The 𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐰𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬 - 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐬 are actively participating on the third day of 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, as part of our ongoing 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐑.𝐄.𝐅.𝐑.𝐄.𝐒.𝐇. (𝐑𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡).

Our units remain well-prepared and are continuing their dedicated efforts in 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐮𝐩, 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. The progress made over the past two days has been remarkable, and we are excited to see the positive impact our scouts are making on our school environment.

The 𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐰𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬 - 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐬 continue to demonstrate outstanding commitment on the second day of 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, aligned with our 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐑.𝐄.𝐅.𝐑.𝐄.𝐒.𝐇. (𝐑𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡).

The momentum from our first day has carried forward, with all units remaining well-prepared and motivated for this week-long service. Our scouts are diligently working on 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐮𝐩, 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐬, ensuring a positive and sustainable transformation of our school environment.

We are thrilled to announce that the 𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐰𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬 - 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐬 have actively participated in the Kick-off Day of 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, in line with our proposed 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐑.𝐄.𝐅.𝐑.𝐄.𝐒.𝐇. (𝐑𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡).

Yesterday marks the beginning of our week-long service, and we are proud to report that all units are well-prepared and eager to contribute. The enthusiasm and dedication displayed by our scouts ensure that our objectives for 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐮𝐩, 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 are off to a great start. The 𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐰𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬 - 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐬 have officially proposed an inspiring community initiative for 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: 𝐑𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 (𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐑.𝐄.𝐅.𝐑.𝐄.𝐒.𝐇.). Through this initiative, we will engage in a series of activities including Clean-Up Drives, Painting and Beautification, and Repair and Maintenance of our beloved alma matter.

This activity aimed to address the growing problem of coastal pollution and instill a sense of environmental responsibility among the youth.

This training includes the following:

Rover Scout Specifics:

Rover Orientation, Vigil and Investiture

The Rover Orientation, Vigil, and Investiture ceremony proved to be a resounding success. The event provided a comprehensive introduction to the Rover program, fostered a spirit of unity among the new Rovers, and marked a significant milestone in their Scouting journey.

2024 Youth Leadership Excellence Awardee

Kent Ivan B. Lubas of Mactan National High School Senior High School recognized by Junior Chamber International (JCI) with the Leadership Award of Excellence at DepEd Lapu-Lapu City Division on July 1, 2024.

Kent Ivan Lubas is also a Rover Leader of Mactan National High School -SHS Bakunawa Rover Scouts. He also receives several awards during graduation day. The JCI recognition was a validation of his efforts, a confirmation that his dedication to community service was making a difference. Standing on stage, a wave of emotions washed over his– pride, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose. This award wasn't an ending, but a stepping stone. It fueled Kent's resolve to continue leading, to inspire others, and to leave a positive mark on his community, just like the JCI that had honored him today.

1. The Pardo District Community Rover Scouting announces the conduct of the 𝐑𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍, 𝐕𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐋 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐈𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐘 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄 on June 28-30, 2024, from 12:30 PM to 12:00 PM, at Capitol Hills Scout Camp, Lahug, Cebu City.

2. The activity is open to all Rover Scouts.

3. A registration fee of Php 350.00 shall be collected from each participant to cover:
1. Rover Scouting Certificates
2. Venue Rental
3. Other Administrative Costs

4. 𝐑𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: The standard Circle equipment is prescribed for activities of this nature. It is suggested that only handy equipment (tent, cooking gear, sleeping bags, food provisions, uniform, extra clothes, personal toilet kit, etc.) be brought by every circle.

5. 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Rover participants of each Circle must provide their own food and other basic requirements that will be sufficient throughout the entire duration of the ROVIC and RLTC. Each contingent is responsible for managing their respective kitchens, mess, and commissaries.

126th Independence Day

Bakunawa Rover Scouts of Mactan National High School Senior High School participate in Independence Day celebrations by carrying the Philippine flag and taking part in flag-raising ceremonies from Fuente Osmeña Circle to Plaza Sugbo. This is a way for the BSP to instill patriotism and respect for the national flag among young people.

The Philippine flag is a symbol of the country's independence and sovereignty. It is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by Filipinos in the fight for freedom. By carrying the flag, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines are showing their respect for these sacrifices and their commitment to building a better future for the Philippines.

Mactan National High School Senior High School Bakunawa Rover Scouts Welcomes New Officers in Turn-over and Oath Taking Ceremony at Mactan National High School Senior High School ground, signifying the transition of a new batch of officers.

The ceremony commenced with welcome remarks from Mr. Melvin Villagorda Jr., WBH. Followed by the Oath Taking Ceremony administered by Mr. Elnar O. Pagao, WBH and one of the Rover Circle Advisers.

The highlight of the event was the turnover of duties from the outgoing Rover Scout leaders to the incoming ones. This symbolic gesture marked the passing of the torch and the responsibilities of leading the group.

Following the turnover, the new Rover Scouts recited the Rover Scout Oath and Law, officially pledging their commitment to the movement's ideals.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from outgoing Rover Scribe Christian V. Buzarang, emphasizing the importance of Rover Scouts in serving the community. The event marked a new chapter for the Rover Scout group, welcoming a new generation of leaders who will continue the legacy of service.

Scouts to the Rescue: Injured Food Panda Rider by Bakunawa Rover Scouts

Quick thinking and decisive action by a group of scouts after rescuing a motorcycle rider who was involved in a serious accident past 5pm today, May 4, 2024.

The incident occurred on M.L. Quezon National Highway, Lapu-Lapu City near Lanikai Seaside Restaurant when the Food Panda rider, hit and tangled the wire on his motorcycle that caused the rider to lose control leading to a crash. On the other side of the road another motorist also hit the wire and crashed.

The scouts, who were about to visit the community for their project near the area, witnessed the accident unfold.

" We were about to cross the road, we heard a loud crash." Said Elmor P. Gulpany Jr., one of the scouts who participated in the rescue. " We rushed over and saw the rider lying on the ground, injured.

Without hesitation, scouts sprang into action. They cordon the area, talked to the rider, checked vitals and they asked for help to call for the emergency services for the first aid. Their quick responses stabilized the rider's condition until the BFP Mactan Paramedics arrived.

The group of scouts was headed by their Rover Leader Kent Ivan B. Lubas.

Scouts are known for their willingness to help out in their communities, and a dance competition is a great place for them to lend a hand. For today's Sadsad sa Kadaugan sa Mactan Grand Showdown is a great way for the scouts to serve as a running errand for the participants. In this activity scouts help to ensure that District 1 presentation runs smoothly and that everyone has a positive experience.

As students, we have to be aware of this issue. It is essential for us to give value to our environment and emphasize its significance - to protect and care.

In celebratiom of the earth day, we, the JERT, will initiate a one week activity to raise awareness and support the protection of our land. l, our Earth.

Bakunawa Rover Scouts Take Lead

They act as role models, share their skills, experience, help organize and lead activities during the BSP & GSP Camporal 2024 of Mactan Elementary School on March 1-2, 2024.

Their dedication plays a crucial role in shaping the development of young scouts into responsible and well-rounded individuals.

Bakunawa Rover Scouts of Mactan National High School participated the Vocation Jamboree 2024 with the theme " I have called you friends" on February 24-25, 2024 . The said event, organized by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu brought together members of various faiths, schools, and other congregations.

The Scouts participated in the said event as part of the fulfilment of the Scout Law "Reverent". A reverent scout, is the one who honors consecrated persons and sacred objects dedicated to service or worship of God.

The Rover Scouts are committed to promoting peace and understanding. This event was a great opportunity to put those values into action.

Coastal Clean Up with PNP and Rover Scouts: Protecting Our Shores Together!

Join forces with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Station 2 and the Rover Scouts of Mactan National High School Senior High School on February 10, 2024 at barangay Mactan Coast for a day of action and environmental impact!

The event was participatedby the PNP headed by PMAJ Bonifacio M. Pareja station commander police station 2 Mactan LCPO and the Bakunawa Rover Scouts of Mactan Senior High School headed by Mr. Melvin P. Villagorda Jr., Rover Scout Adviser.

Every particpants helped each other in removing plastic, debris, and pollution from the precious coastline.

"We are here not for compliance purposes but to make an action that can help preserve our planet" said Pareja station commander police station 2 Mactan LCPO.

This activity helps in connecting with other passionate volunteers, including Rover Scouts and PNP officers, working towards a common goal.
