A pilot from Manila recently shared this breathtaking photo of the Milky Way that he took during an international flight last June 12, 2020.

“That was a Manila-Cebu-Bangkok-Manila flight, taken going to Bangkok on an A350-900,” first officer Mike Buenaventura said.

Using a mirrorless digital camera with a 16-55 mm lens, the details of the galaxy can be seen so vividly that it seems to be within our reach.

“The photo is a single-shot, edited in Lightroom,” he said, explaining the photo.
