Maraming nalilito sa mga Do's and Don't sa mga kapwa Caterers and Clients.
Kaya here are the topics namin mga ibang Caterer sa first Zoom Meeting.

1. FOOD TASTING IS NOT FREE
Natatawa ako sa iba na kulang sa Logic pagdating sa Food Tasting. Sa mahal ng bilihin ngayon hindi dapat libre ang food tasting na iyan. Marami naka experience na mga Caterers na pina libre ang food tasting. Tapos in the end hindi magpapa book si client. Ang ending sasama ang loob ng Caterer kasi nagpakapagod siya magluto at mag travel papunta sa "meeting" nila ng client. Ang food tasting may bayad talaga iyan. Once nagpa book si client pwede ninyo i-waved ang binayad nila sa food tasting w/ transpo. Kasi nagpa book na sa inyo.

2. Mas LESSER the PAX mas MAHAL dapat ang per head sa Catering. Why? Que Kaunti ang pax or marami IISA PA DIN ANG PAGOD AT SASAHURAN NA MGA TAO. Hindi pwede na kasi BUDGET MEAL ang client kaya budget meal din ang pasahod sa mga tao. Ang puhunan sa Catering ay Hundreds of Thousand Pesos sa mga nagsisimula pa lang. Mula sa mga equipments, tables and Chairs, mga kagamitan, mga pang basic styling. Hindi ko maubos maisip kung paano pinagkakasya ng ibang "Caterers Kuno" ang 50pax sa 9k daw! Ano ang ipapasahod ninyo sa tao ninyo? Transportation, and FOOD??? Ano ang iseserve ninyo sa client.. PAGPAG??? DO THE MATH!

3. Here are the proper rates sa 2023 dahil sa mahal ng bilihin :
100pax up 750 per head
90pax 850per head
80pax 950per head
70pax 1,050 per head
60pax 1,150 per head
50pax 1,250 per head
40pax 1,350 per head
30pax 1,450 per head
20pax 1,650 per head
10pax 1,850 per head

Pag may OR additional 6% iyan dahil nagbabayad kayo ng tax. Additional 10% for the Service Charge (optional) depende iyan sa usapan ninyo ng Clients ninyo. And transportation allowance.

4. Ocular of Venue.
Kung sigurado na kayo sa Caterer at sa client ninyo pwede nyo na huwag singilin ang transportation BASTA SIGURADO ANG SIGNING OF CONTRACT. Maraming sumasakit ang ulo dahil sa mga "Clients kuno" na iistorbohin ang Caterer at magpapa ocular ng venue (w/ matching food tasting) tapos hindi naman pala pipirma ng kontrata. Ang gawin ninyo mga Caterers papuntahin nyo muna ang mga clients ninyo sa bahay or work area ninyo at doon muna mag meeting. Once the contract is signed saka kayo mag ocular sa venue na napili ni client. Ang iba kasi pag matumal ang panahon naghahadali makakuha ng clients kahit hindi sigurado na sila ang kukunin. Huwag ganon. May mga clients naman na kung magsalita sa Suppliers ay "Trabaho ninyo iyan!" Nasaan ang patrabaho? Bayad ba kayo Caterers?

5. Attitude problem :
Mapapansin ninyo ang client IF MAY ATTITUDE PROBLEM thru the way they post. Pagka ganyan atras na agad huwag na ipagpilitan ang package ninyo dahil nangangamoy problema iyan. Marami din tauhan ng mga Caterers ang may ATTITUDE PROBLEM. Iwanan sa mga bahay ninyo ang mga kabastusan at pagiging balatuba sa pagkain. Dahil iyan ay BAYAD NG CLIENTS PER HEAD. Maraming mga fly by night waiters na ganyan ang ugali (Aminin!) Mga sabik makatikim ng masarap na pagkain. Kaya nga May crewmeals kasi iyon ang pagkain ng mga Crews!

6. NON-REFUNDABLE:
Usually ang nonrefundable ay ang initial 10% for BLOCKING NG DATE. Hindi ang kabuuan ng package ang Nonrefundable. Lalo na kung Malayo pa ang petsa ng event ng Client ninyo. Pero kung 1 or 2 weeks before the date ibang usapan na iyan. Pagisipan maigi ang mga nakalagay sa CONTRACTS ninyo.

7. Mga Client na NAGHAHANAP NG BUTAS PARA HINDI MAKAPAGBAYAD NG BALANSE. :
YES! MARAMING GANYAN CLIENTS. Our Dear clients hanggat maaari huwag nyo naman tratuhin na patay gutom ang mga suppliers ninyo. Hindi ninyo alam ang ibang Suppliers mas mayaman pa iyan sa inyo para tratuhin ninyo ng ganyan. Lumang tugtugin na po iyang hahanapan ng butas kuno ang mga suppliers para hindi makapag bayad ng balance sa kanila. Pare pareho po pamilyado ang mga suppliers kagaya ninyo maawa naman kayo!

8. Crewmeals:
Uulitin ko, ang Crewmeals po ay KONSIDERASYON NG CLIENTS SA KANYANG MGA SUPPLIERS. Just imagine, kayo ang lumagay sa kalagayan ng inyong mga Hardworking Suppliers, mula madaling araw hanggang egress sa gabi kasa kasama na ninyo sila para magkaroon kayo ng event na maganda at maayos. Yung kaunting konsiderasyon man lang na pakainin ang suppliers ninyo hindi naman siguro ikakahirap ng bulsa ninyo. Ngayon, kung nagtitipid kayo wala naman problema na kayo na magpaluto sa mga kamaganak ninyo at ilagay sa maayos na bento box or containers ang mga Crewmeals na inyong gagawin. Hindi iyong ilalagay lang sa plastic labo at ayos na.

9. Excess per head at Buffer :
Ang excess per head ay binabayaran talaga iyan dearest clients. Kaya Caterers and OTD Coordinators please coordinate with your Caterers naman sa Headcount ng mga bisita para maiwasan ang problema sa huli. Ang BUFFER na tinatawag ay walang kasamang tables and Chairs iyan. 5% lang ng number of Pax ang buffer not 10% or 20%! Abusado naman ang iba kung maka demand! Ang BUFFER po na iyan ay para doon sa mga gusto umulit pa ng isang beses. Hindi po kasama sa number of Pax ang BUFFER.

10. Caterers matuto makipagusap ng professional sa mga Clients. Matuto din tayo na every events natin ay maayos at SIGURADUHIN LAGI NA HINDI KAYO BABALIKAN NG REKLAMO. MAKE SURE NA MERON KAYO PAPIPIRMAHAN SA CLIENTS NA KATIBAYAN NA MAAYOS NINYO NAISAGAWA ANG KANILANG MGA EVENTS. Much better if May pictures and videos kayo para pag gumawa ng alingasngas ang clients ninyo ay may ebidensiya kayo. Hindi iyong kung kailan tapos na si event ay saka mag ra rant si client sa lahat ng Events Groups. Alalahanin na ang kausap lang ninyo mula sa simula hanggang ending ng events ay ang Client nyo lang at HINDI ANG KAMAGANAK INCORPORATED.

OVERALL:
IWASAN ANG BUDGET MEAL WITH CLASS NA MADALAS na nangyayari ngayon. Para maiwasan ang FUTURE PROBLEMS.
A simple advice for our Dear Clients please kung sa tingin ninyo hindi kasya ang budget huwag na po magpa event. Please uulitin ko, DO THE MATH.
