The Uz One Dance Company is a unison between two groups namely Shawdy Abas (est. 2012) and SMC (est 2015). Individually, each of the groups has made a name for themselves by winning several competitions around Maasin City and placing highly within Southern Leyte. Together, the dance company represented Maasin City and bagged 6th place out of 15 strong contenders at the Leyte All-Stars Competition which was held in Ormoc City on February of 2019.

We envision a healthy relationship among groups and individual dancers, our goal is to move forward together in hopes of gaining assistance from the government for future projects in the dance community. We believe in harmonious living, to the point where we actually live it. The Uz One Dance Company redefines the concept of familyhood among members, we literally have families together with the members. All jokes aside, the love we have for our group and for dance knows no limits, making time for rehearsals after work and school is a testimony of our passion. We hope to engrave this passion into others, this is real, this is Uz.
