Dati nung nag start ako mag work, sabi ko mag-iipon ako and gusto ko ng maraming pera kasi laki ako sa hirap. Yes, nakaka-ipon naman talaga ako pero dahil may mga bayarin ako and hindi ako aware how to handle my money well, plus need ko din tumulong sa amin, yung ipon ko nagagalaw ko din talaga para sa bills and other unnecessary expenses at that time kahit anong tipid pa ang gawin ko, the least I can do is to cry and utter "Lord , ayaw ko na ng ganito. Help me na makawala sa ganitong cycle."

Imagine sasahod, mag iipon, pero magagalaw pa din pambabayad lang sa utang, sa bills, negative pa. So uutang ulit kaya yung next sahod ko ubos na naman kahit wala pa sa kamay ko. 🥲 but I'm glad I expand and went out of my comfort zone to grow and said "Yes!" to earning more.

This is not to brag but to just share how GREAT IS OUR GOD in my life, I know He is working in your life too. And maybe He is giving you options and opportunities, ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS TO GRAB IT! Of course kung nahihirapan kang mag decide, need mo mag-discern, like I did! (Long post but this is worth the read. I promise.)

My client availed her policy last August 18, 2021 with a monthly premium of ₱1,535.50. Ang reason ng pagkuha niya ay dahil sa lola niya na na-untog pero dahil hindi nila napacheck up dahil sa walang wala silang pera panggastos, kaya ito namatay at nawala sa kanilang pamilya. Ayaw na niya mangyari ulit ng dahil lang wala silang perang pangpagamot.

Last April 25, 2023, minessage niya ako if pwede ba siyang tumawag and pagsagot ko ng call ang bungad niya, “Ma’am, I think I need you. Mukhang magagamit ko yung insurance ko. Nandito ako sa check up and sabi ng doctor may leukemia daw ako, Stage 3.” Umiiyak siya sa line and at the back of my mind iniisip ko kung paano ko siya papakalmahin. Ang sabi ko lang, “God is with you and I will do my best para maayos natin yung claims mo. For now, huwag ka muna mag-isip at everything will be well.” She has no symptoms, nakita na lang na hindi okay ang blood niya dahil nag pa APE siya. Sobrang healthy niya and she’s young, age 29 years old lang siya.

I researched her case, it’s called Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia in Blast Crisis which means na Late Stage Cancer na ito. I immediately reviewed her plan to check kung magkano ang ma-claim niya and I gave her ₱250,000.00 as Life Care (Critical Illness) Benefit nung kumuha siya ng policy. Since her policy is still within the 2-year contestability period, our company PRU LIFE UK asked for additional requirements and reports. I’m very thankful to my client for being cooperative and patient sa process. Alam kong stressful ito sakanya that’s why I also took the extra mile to help in retrieving her medical records by going to the Diagnostic Centers kung saan siya nagpa-check up and APE and talked to her HMO provider.

With prayers and petitions, and after submitting all needed documents and closely monitoring and follow-ups, when I was in Siargao yesterday, I received a confirmation email dated September 21, 2023 that her Critical Illness Benefit Claim amounting to ₱250,000.00 was already approved and credited to her bank account kahapon din, September 22, 2023.

Sa 2 years and 1 month of saving ₱1,535.50 (38,387.50 in total) naka-receive siya ng ₱250,000.00 from her Insurance Investment Plan with PRU LIFE UK 🥹 alam kong maliit itong amount na ito, pero kahit papaano makakatulong sa gastusin sa medication.

These are the usual excuses that I get as a Financial Consultant.

Bata pa lang tayo sinasabi na "Preparation and prevention is better than cure." If you keep delaying these decisions, you miss out on the potential benefits and may face higher insurance premiums due to age or health changes.
