Fun fact: The word "tee" comes from the Old English word "teag," which means "small pile." The first golf tees were made of sand, and golfers would place their balls on top of a small pile of sand before hitting them.

Tee boxes are typically elevated above the fairway, which gives golfers a better view of the hole and allows them to hit the ball farther.

I'm Coach Hanson & I accept lessons from Monday to Saturday from 6am to 8pm, and Sundays from 6am to 3pm on a first to book basis.

I provide one-on-one and group lessons for all skill levels. This is to identify your strengths and weaknesses, and develop a customized plan to improve your game.

Golf equipment is available for free during the lesson, so you can focus on learning without having to worry about bringing your own gear.

What's the par for this hole?

On most golf courses, there's a mix of par-3s, par-4s, and par-5s. Par-3s are the shortest holes, and are typically played with a tee shot and a one-putt. Par-4s are the most common type of hole, and require a tee shot, an approach shot, and one or two putts to complete. Par-5s are the longest holes, and require three or more strokes to reach the green in regulation.
