This exhibit will unveil the works of Dominador Castañeda, and will launch the book that unravels his life and journey as an honored painter, educator, scholar, and historian in the Philippine art scene. The first, of hopefully several, exhibits that would commemorate Dean Castañeda’s productive yet unassuming contributions to Philippine art.

“Voices” are usually understood as sounds produced by human beings. But artists have different ways of expressing their emotions and intellect in their work, creating a language of their own.

In this 7th exhibit of Tony Alcasid, he shares his spiritual, meditative space with Pia Benitez-Yupangco whose approach to pen and ink includes diverse styles of post Modernism and abstract Japanese art. The whimsically playful and boldly expressive work of the confidently outspoken genius, RM de Leon completes the diverse and exciting symphony of voices expressed through art.

Voices opens on January 14, 2023 at the Fashion Interiors, Makati.

Ricco Renzo Gallery and RestÄRT Ph presents Alan SyCip’s first online exhibit: Mixed Bag.

Alan SyCip, is a contemporary artist who finished Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting at the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and pursued private studies with Dr. Rodolfo Paras-Perez.

His interest in art has led him to participate in numerous exhibits around the Metro since 1973. Alan’s work features different art mediums such as paintings, calligraphy, photograms and drawings. He is also invested in a variety of business endeavors that has supplemented his love for the art.

The Artist Behind Journey Of The Soul 👨‍🎨

Tony Alcasid was first a banker before he became a full time artist. He took up a series of business related courses and then started taking interest in and later on found his love for arts when he saw his high grades in Humanities.

With this budding interest, a six-month workshop/short course in abstract painting with Gerry Ingco in Ricco Renzo Gallery steered him into the arts industry. At the end of it, he participated in a 3-man show with him and the owner of the gallery Paulito Garcia.

His love for arts back in college was definitely the beginning of this career and now, he is preparing for his 8th art exhibit!

Experience and appreciate the glory of Tony Alcasid’s works on opening night on December 10 until December 17 at the Asia Pacific College, Magallanes.
