COMMUNITY FEATURE | INK member Luce Melegrito
At 20 years old, Luce has spent more than half her life attending art workshops and exhibits at the Ayala Museum! She shares how being exposed to art and art-making at a young age helped shape her artistic voice as a brand new member of Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan, one of the museum’s long-time collaborators!
To celebrate our 50th anniversary, ‘Community Features’ is an online series that celebrates those who have shared their time and passion with the museum and whose lives have been touched by our collections & programs.

Ayala Museum | It Takes a Village!
It takes a village 🏘️
When the Ayala Museum audience development team came together to discuss an appropriate tag line for our 50th anniversary, there were so many great ideas to capture different emotions.
One idea stayed the same throughout all the campaign’s different iterations: we have a unique relationship with our community.
Whether it’s the public who supports our programs or the staff and collaborators who dedicate their passion & expertise to the museum—we wouldn’t have made it to 50 years without all of you.
We can’t wait to see where this ongoing thing with our community leads, but we’re sure it’s going to be just as exciting and fulfilling as the last five decades. After all, we have history!
A special shout out to ODV Creative Media Inc. and the Ayala Museum audience development team for their hard work on this video and campaign!

Ayala Museum | We Have History!
50 years together and we’re still going strong.
When we moved into our first building in June 1974 with the mandate to empower Filipinos with a deep appreciation for our art, history & culture, we had no idea we’d be part of such a passionate and dedicated community.
Like all relationships, ours takes work. So here’s to all the tireless men & women of Ayala Museum, past and present, our countless collaborators: our donors, lenders, sponsors, the artists, historians, scholars, art connoisseurs, lecturers, instructors, performers, and our wonderful building support staff.
Most of all a resounding thank you to the community we serve for the unwavering support & loyalty all these years. You are the reason we try harder.
A special shout out to ODV Creative Media Inc. and the Ayala Museum audience development team for their hard work on this video and campaign!

These wooden replicas of iconic objects in our dioramas are an extension of our “Touch the Object” project. They were executed in collaboration with Paete artist Angelito Baldemor, and are part of the museum’s advocation for more access to its collections.
