The LaserCrafts PH story

It was in December 2016 when I gave birth to my firstborn.

It was a time of big adjustment as a first-time mom. While preparing for our son’s baptism, my dad volunteered to create the guest souvenirs and the tokens for the grandparents.

I was quite impressed when I saw a new machine in his shop that can easily cut and engrave on wood and acrylic. He bought it to speed up the fabrication of signage in his company, Kenneth G Ads and Printing Services.

However, he said that he needed help with coming up with exploring what else the machine can do and in marketing those items. The machine cost is quite hefty that’s why it might take a long time to recover the investment if we relied on signage alone.

I did my research and came up with a cake topper for my sister’s birthday. I took photos and just posted on a Facebook group for moms.

There were several moms who inquired and a couple wanted to buy. I had to quickly come up with a plan and accommodate their orders.

I took photos again of the toppers we created and posted them again in Facebook. When inquiries started coming in, I realized there was genuine interest in the product. That was the time I decided to take it more seriously and make a business out of it, albeit part-time.

Being a first-time mom proved to be quite challenging, especially since I let go of my responsibilities in our business. But this newfound passion to create and serve people online was my sanctuary. It brought me a sense of familiarity with who I used to be before being a full-time mom.

Now, I have two kids and with the pandemic upon us, I am glad that this online business is here to provide an alternative source of income for my family while staying home.

It is an outlet for my creativity. It challenges me to be a better person, to serve more people, and carve creations uniquely my own.
