Subject: An Open Letter to the Woman I Love

Dearest Kat,

I've tried rewriting the first few lines of this letter to you, with 3 or 4 attempts I guess. I’ve even sought inspiration from thousands of "cool" and “cheesy” letters I found online. But, I've come to realize that what my heart knows is already enough of a guide.

I really want to express my appreciation for everything you do for me and the both of us. There have been just so many things to count that I've already lost track, honestly.

I wanted to share some of the snapshots I took of you since we started dating and living under the same roof. Knowing me, I “meticulously curated” these pictures, haha! I just couldn't resist capturing how beautiful you are, whether it's candid shots or ones you posed for knowingly.

Happy National Girlfriend’s Day, Love! Know that I appreciate the person that you are, even though there are times when I may unintentionally make you feel otherwise.

New Normal: The Show Must Go On
A solo exhibition by Melchor Sabariza

I decided to have my first solo photo walk along UP Ave. Sunflower Path as I also wanted to see if I could work on my anxiety when approaching strangers. At first my heart was pounding when I approached some random people who were also taking selfies with their phones at that time. But when I got their consent, I took the best photos I could with my camera. I showed them the results immediately after I took them, and they all smiled upon seeing the photos.

My mission was to just improve on my interpersonal skills with different people, but I ended up making people happy.

Below are the photos I took which are also posted with their consent. 🌻

All thanks to the assigned security at the area for keeping everyone safe and who were also keen on reminding everyone to follow social distancing.

Disclaimer: those who needed to take off their masks immediately put them back on right after the “super” short shoot. I also kept a distance from them when I was taking the photos.
