Africa meets Asia

Akose is the traditional language of the Bakossi tribe found in Cameroon. The Bakossi people live on the western and eastern slopes of Mount Mwanenguba and Mount Kupe in the Bakossi Mountains of Cameroon in Africa. Cameroonians love fashion just like any other African and recently the African continent has made so much improvements with its fashion clothes, particularly the dashiki, which is now worn worldwide. The name dashiki comes from the word “danshiki” or "dan ciki" means “shirt” in Yoruba and Hausa, respectively, languages spoken in West Africa, specifically Nigeria. Thanks to globalization, the distance between Africa and Asia is getting smaller and the different cultures are getting to know each other better. Akose is a Cameroonian fashion design platform and it aims at bringing Africa closer to Asia through fashion. Fashion unites us.Thanks to the dashiki, the rest of the world is learning about Africa. Let's all celebrate globalization.
