In celebration of Breastfeeding Awareness Month, we want to express our deep appreciation to our breastfeeding nutrition advocates, especially the midwives in our community 🇵🇭🤱

As part of our Breastfeeding Awareness Month celebration and in connection with the recent impact of Typhoon Carina, we were blessed with the opportunity to support new mothers and postpartum patients in Marikina—one of the communities hit hardest by the devastating floods.

We were able to sponsor Mamapina care packs, which included essential health supplies for our postpartum nanays - rice, munggo, lampin, & baby clothes.

A huge thank you to Aileen for leading this incredible initiative. You, along with your fellow nurses and midwives, are true treasures to Filipina mamas. Special thanks also to Doula Ria () for her unwavering support. Maraming Salamat! ❤️

P.S. Join our Mamapina community to support more advocacies like this and help us make a difference together!

Celebrating Our Filipino American Gymnasts at the Paris 2024 Olympics 🌟 These gymnasts are shining examples of Filipino Americans giving back to the Philippines and representing their heritage with pride!

Levi Jung-Ruivivar, Emma Malabuyo, and Aleah Finnegan have made history and brought immense pride to the Philippines at the 2024 Paris Olympics (the first women’s gymnasts to represent the Philippines since 1964).

They have showcased their exceptional talent and determination on the world stage, honoring their heritage and making their families proud.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude also to the Filipino parents who have nurtured and supported these athletes. Their dedication and commitment have played a crucial role in shaping Levi, Emma, and Aleah into the champions they are today.

At Mamapina, we honor these incredible gymnasts and recognize that becoming an Olympian requires immense discipline, courage, and confidence. This confidence often starts from a young age, being wrapped in your heritage and knowing your culture.

Our Mamapina Filipino Flag swaddles are designed to give young Filipino Americans that early sense of pride and connection to their roots.

As a brand of Filipino American swaddles and heritage products, we commend the moms and dads who proudly raise their children to embrace their Filipino identity and culture. We are especially proud of Levi, Emma, and Aleah for representing the Philippines with such grace and skill.

Our Mamapina swaddles provide an easy way for Filipino American families to teach and instill cultural pride in their children. We hope that by doing our part, we are helping to raise future Filipino and Filipino American Olympians who will make our Motherland proud.

Let’s keep cheering for our athletes and celebrating our rich heritage. Mabuhay and congratulations to , & ! 🇵🇭

P.S. If we were to gift each of these inspiring gymnasts a Mamapina swaddle to celebrate their achievements, which design would you choose for Levi, Emma, and Aleah? Share your votes and thoughts in the comments below!

Maligayang Araw Ng Mga Ama!

It’s still Father’s Day in the US!

Happy Fathers’s Day to the Daddys who regularly style their daughters hair like my husband David & to all the Lolos ( grandfathers) that are cared for so much by their daughter & granddaughters like my 90 year old father Matt whom Hope spends time with everyday at our house.

Mamapina is especially Honoring the resilience and legacy of our Grandfathers this Father's Day. From the fields of Hawaii to the bustling streets of California, their hard work, adventures, and bravery as Filipino Americans built a bridge of strength from the Philippines to the United States.

Four of my grandfathers, including my father's father and his uncles, were recruited from Laoag Ilocos Norte to work as farm workers in Hawaii in the 1920s as Sakadas, and one eventually made it to Stockton, California, working alongside the Manongs.

After working as a Sakada in Hawaii, my Lolo Augustin Hernandez “Lolo Usting” became a respected & benevolent leader in his community in Laoag specially during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines, eventually sent all his kids to college (my dad graduated from University of the Philippines School
Of Law), & he was an amazing cook according to my dad who was also a wonderful cook🙂

Mamapina is inspired by my Ilocana roots. Our woven blankets are from Ilocos region, honoring their legacy and the Filipino heritage that lives on in our products, uplifting and connecting the Filipino American community.

Mamapina is also inspired by my German Grandfather Christian Rheingold Stehmeier who was a brave expat in the Philippines in the 1930s & who had a very loving relationship with my mom, his first child & Filipina mestiza daughter Helen.

Happy Father's Day to ALL Dads!

We hope you keep loving moms & nurturing your daughters.

Maligayang Araw Ng Mga Ama Especially to OUR Filipino American fathers & to OUR Ilocano grandfathers & great grandfathers who have helped build America & continue to inspire us to . 💪🏽🇵🇭🇺🇸🥰🌟

UPDATE:
PS. Look at the flowers on Hope’s hair & on my Lola’s top. I noticed that after I shared this already. A definite sign from our ancestors that they are always with us…inspiring…showing the way! So I am smiling at this sign & inspiration for me to continue designing heritage products for Filipino Americans to connect with the Philippines 🇵🇭 💪🏽😍🇺🇸
