BREAKING: Filipina writer, novelist, liberal activist and political critic has passed away this morning at the age of 77.

Her most popular works are the novels ‘Dekada '70;’ ‘Bata, Bata, Pa'no Ka Ginawa?;’ and ‘ 'GAPÔ.’

The news was confirmed by her immediate family: her sister Marilag B. De Jesus and first cousin Sonny Ross Samonte.

Former vice president and lawyer Leni Robredo celebrated her milestone as a Hauser Leader at the Harvard Kennedy School as she posed for a photo in front of the institution on Tuesday.

“Pati ako may 1st day of school photo,” she wrote in her Instagram post.

The Angat Buhay chairperson is staying with her daughter, Tricia, in Massachusetts. Meanwhile, the younger Robredo is pursuing her Master of Medical Sciences in Global Health Delivery at the Harvard Medical School.
