In the span of six years, we've experienced so much, both as a band and as individuals. We've aged, not just in appearance but also in facing life's challenges.

Throughout those 6 years, we've shed tears, shared laughter, and spent time eating in the studio as much as actually making music. We've felt exhaustion, slept, and found comfort in the sound of each other's voices.

In those six years, we've had to shed our skin by learning from each other and the communities we're a part of.

Most importantly, we shaped our anger through love and passion, to create music and cherish the people and places we've come to know as home.

As the fires in our hearts spread through songs and actions, we march forward with torches in hand, ready to set fire to the ground.

Today, April 3, is the 84th birth anniversary of National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Catalino “Lino” Brocka.

His works were known to reflect his social activist spirit, and his 66 films narrated stories from the marginalized sector of society.

Among his notable works were “Wanted: Perfect Mother,” “Tinimbang Ka Ngunit Kulang,” and “Maynila: Sa Kuko ng Liwanag.” Brocka died on May 22, 1991 and was named a national artist in 1997.

Sleeping Boy Collective 🫂✨🌸

Back in 2018, we stuffed 300 people into the old One Two Three Block for Movements' first Philippine show-- the venue's first international touring band. Years later, that number would grow over five times larger for the band's 2023 return at 123 Block's new Mandala Park location. In many ways, things just came full circle for all of us-- the band, our collective, the venue, and most importantly, you.

We're incredibly glad to see the band again, and are genuinely moved (no pun intended) by your love and support for them. Expecting something closer to 2018 numbers, our initial run of 400 tickets sold out within an hour of launch. Over the next couple of months, kept adding extra slots to make sure everyone had a chance to see them. We didn't think the band blew up in such a major way in the Philippines, but seeing show-goers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao put everything into perspective.

Thank YOU for all the love and support you've given. We've gotten so many heartwarming messages about the whole experience-- how Movements got you through trying and difficult times, or quite literally saved your lives. We're glad to have shared that moment with you.

Thank you, Movements, for dropping by-- couldn't have done this without you, and the good folk over at Disrupt.Co. Can't wait to see you again!

Also, a massive thank you to our opening acts: Lindenwood, Turncoats, Pry, and bird. . Pushing air, and moving bodies all the way up to the headliner.

We'd also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Still Ill Records and Counterflow for everything they've done, and continue to do for us-- it's people like you that remind us of how much the DIY scene can do together. HC4HC.

Lastly, we'd like to thank 123 Block for having us over. They've since become an institution for Metro Manila's alternative gigging community, and do great work by allowing shows like this to happen on their turf.

This was our biggest show to date-- standing over 1,700 strong.
