Knights of Columbus page Rules:

As Catholics, and as Knights of Columbus, each of us is called to faithful citizenship—to live out our Catholic faith in our public lives as well as our private lives. But how to do this, especially when representing yourself as a Brother Knight on social media, is not always clear. When in doubt, follow these guidelines:

Talk about the issues, not the candidates. Never endorse one specific candidate or party. Instead, share information about the pro-life, pro-marriage, religious freedom, and pro-family movements and issues that Catholics care about when they go to the polls.

If you are running for public office, you cannot campaign as a member of the Knights of Columbus on social media, or offline. The Officer’s Desk Reference has a detailed guide of how to conduct yourself as a Knight when running for political office—it’s a resource every Brother Knight should look to!

Be positive and polite online. As always, be gracious and charitable when using social media to discuss issues. Rather than attacking individuals, candidates or political parties, share resources to guide others in their faithful citizenship. Refrain from engaging with people who leave inflammatory or impolite comments on this page.

Remember, this page will be an opportunity to create a positive image for our Brother Knights, a chance to create growth and share positive feedback to support our Brothers in their calling as Catholic men and Knights in service to one, in service to all.

Conversation and comments deemed negative, will be deleted without question. Excessive offensive comments will lead to individuals being banned from this page. This is a positive environment to share ideas for positive growth.

In order to be a member of this page, you must be a Knight of Columbus, and a Brother Knight in good standing.

CHRIST - not the Christmas tree - is Christmas. The Holy Infant is the Object of our love and joy, not the spectacular Christmas trees set up by business establishments. This reminds me of the note I wrote on Christmas last year:

In early January 2022, Joseph and Megan Hermosillo, parents of six young children, faced the kind of health crisis every family fears. Itigil ang ginagawa mo, yumuko at sabihin ang dasal na ito:

Walang hanggang Ama, pinahinto mo ang buong mundo sa paglalakad nang ilang sandali.
Pilit mong pinatahimik ang ingay na nilikha namin lahat sa paligid namin.
Pinaluhod mo kami at humingi ng mga himala.
Isinara mo ang Iyong mga Simbahan upang mapagtanto namin kung gaano kadilim ang aming mundo kung wala Ka rito.
Pinahiya mo ang mayabang at makapangyarihan. Ang ekonomiya ay gumuho, ang mga negosyo ay nagsasara.
Ipinagmamalaki namin na isipin na ang lahat ng mayroon kami, lahat ng pag-aari namin, ay bunga ng aming pagsusumikap.
Nakalimutan namin na ang Iyong biyaya, Iyong awa, na gumawa sa amin kung sino kami at nagbigay sa amin ng lahat ng mayroon kami.

Marahil ang virus na ito ay tunay na Iyong paraan ng paglilinis at paglilinis ng aming mga kaluluwa, na ibabalik kami sa Inyo.
Ngayon, habang naglalakbay ang mga salitang ito sa internet, nawa ang lahat ng makakakita sa kanila na sumali sa kanilang mga puso at kamay sa pagdarasal, na humihingi ng kapatawaran, humihingi ng paggaling at proteksyon laban sa virus na ito, ngunit higit sa lahat, hinihiling na ang Iyong Banal at Banal na Gawin at hindi ang atin
DIYOS, ipinamamanhik namin sa Inyo, iligtas mo kami sa lahat ng kasamaan sa Lupa kung ito ang iyong kalooban!
Ama, matiyaga kang naghihintay sa amin na ibaling ang aming mga mukha sa Inyo, upang magsisi sa aming mga kasalanan. Humihingi kami ng paumanhin na huwag pansinin ang Iyong boses! Makasarili, minsan nakakalimutan namin na Kayo ay DIYOS !! Panginoon, hindi ako karapat-dapat na pumasok ka sa aking bahay, ngunit isang salita mula sa iyo ang sapat upang pagalingin ako!
Kailangan mo lamang Panginoon na sabihin ang Salita at ang aming mga kaluluwa ay gagaling.

Isinilang sa Pandacan, Maynila, si Padre Zamora ay nag-aral ng Bachiller “en ambos derechos” (civil at canon law) sa Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Unibersidad ng Santo Tomas, at naghanda sa pagpapari sa Seminaryo ng San Carlos sa Maynila. Naglingkod sa mga parokya sa Marikina, Pasig, Batangas. Kasama ni Burgos ay naglingkod bilang cura ng Sagrario ng Katedral at tagapagsulit ng mga pari sa Arkidiyosesis ng Maynila. Isa siya sa mga kasapi ng Comite Reformado na mga repormistang ipinagtanggol ang karapatan ng mga paring Pilipino laban sa diskriminasyon. Isa siya sa mga idinawit sa Cavite Mutiny. Siya ay nahatulan ng kamatayan at binitay sa pamamagitan ng garrote noong Pebrero 17, 1872 sa Bagumbayan sa edad na 35.
