Ang buwan ng Hulyo ay idineklara bilang National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) upang mabigyang-diin sa ating mga kababayan ang kahalagahan ng pagiging maalam at handa sa mga sakuna.

Bilang pakikibahagi sa adbokasiya ng NDRM, ang Greater Manila Emergency Response Network ay magsasagawa ng serye ng mga paskil upang makapagbahagi ng impormasyon at kaalaman patungkol sa disaster awareness at disaster preparedness.

Makiisa. Makialam. Makibahagi. Ang kaalaman at kahandaan ay ang magliligtas sa bawat isa sa oras ng mga sakuna.

Ipinaaabot ng Greater Manila Emergency Response Network ang pagbati ng isang maligayang Araw ng Kalayaan!

Ngayong araw ng Kalayaan, sundan nawa natin ang yapak ng ating mga bayani sa pangangalaga sa ating bansang sinilangan; at bigyan sana natin ng laya ang bawat isa na mamuhay nang mapayapa at ligtas sa piling ng Pilipinas.

Isang masiglang saludo para sa watawat, isang masiglang saludo para sa Pilipino!

Members of the Quiapo Emergency Response Team (Quiapo ERT) responded to a second alarm residential fire located at Tomas Mapua St. cor. Lope de Vega St. on Friday, 03:30 PM. The responding officers served as stand-by medics and assisted in crowd control.

The fire was declared under control by 5:30 PM.

Lope de Vega, mangyari po lamang na ipagbigay alam sa amin kung mayroon po kayong napansin, nakita, o napulot na lagayan ng mga dokumento na kulay itim. Nilalaman po niyon ang aming PCR at iba pang mahalagang dokumentong ginagamit para sa aming mga kaganapan bilang isang organisasyon.

First Aid and Basic Life Support Talk

Victorino Mapa High School (VMHS) hosted a First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) Seminar with the theme, "What Will First Aiders Do?" last Thursday, February 15. Members of the Greater Manila Emergency Response Network, as constituents of the Victorino Mapa Alumni Emergency Services (VMAES) partook in the discussion as speakers and demonstrators of First Aid and BLS.

After the discussion, the team catered to two patients; assisted by the Batang Emergency Response Team (VMHS-BERT) and headed by School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Coordinator Mr. Junrel Abong and Brigade Director Bryan M. Fernandez.

Fire Alarm at Brgy. 310

Members of the Greater Manila Emergency Response Network (GMERN) responded to a residential fire alarm located at Claro M. Recto Avenue, Brgy. 310, in front of the Isetann Mall last Wednesday, January 31. The team acted as standby medics and assisted in crowd control under the leadership of Brigade Director B.M. Fernandez. The team catered to one patient who was given due care as needed.

The fire rose to the 5th alarm at 3:46 in the afternoon.

Greater Manila Emergency Response Network grieves the loss of the beloved veteran newscaster, Mr. Mike Enriquez, who passed away last Aug. 29, 2023, at the age of 71.

Our lives will never be the same without the iconic lines: "Excuse me po!" and "Hinding-hindi kita tatantanan!" From Holiday countdowns and election specials in 24 Oras to crime scene investigation documentaries in Imbestigador, Enriquez has become a significant part of our childhood by showing his passion for journalism and newscasting.

Members of the Quiapo Emergency Response Team responded to a Commercial Fire Alarm located at the Manila Post Office, Brgy. 656, Manila. The fire was reported to be at First (1st) Alarm yesterday, May 21, 11:41 PM and rose to General Alarm by 5:54 AM, May 22.

The fire was declared Fire Under Control by 7:22 AM.

The Quiapo Emergency Response Team members have been informed that a patient needs immediate care due to a loss of consciousness. While other team members handled crowd control and questioned the bystanders, Deputy Director Louise Rafael Loyola, Service Chief Chester John Bucsit, and Medic Maria Angelica Pahati quickly conducted an assessment. Further examination of the patient prompted DDir. Loyola and Med. Pahati to decide to bring the patient to the nearest emergency department. The patient received appropriate care as needed during the patient transport.

Members of the Quiapo Emergency Response Team responded to a motorcycle vs. motor vehicle accident located at Recto cor. Loyola Street, Quiapo, Manila. The local DRRM was already present when the team arrived. Some of the patient's abrasions were already tended and his injuries were already stabilized. Quiapo ERT conducted a secondary assessment upon arrival and found one abrasion on the back of the patient. The patient was given due care as needed.

Victorino Mapa High School Learner's Orientation, Brigada Eskwela

Victorino Mapa High School carried out their Learner's Orientation and Brigada Eskwela on 18th August, 2022. Once again, Sampaloc Emergency Response Team was given the opportunity to serve as stand-by medics and safety marshals in the said school's event. In line with this, Quiapo Emergency Response Team, the newly-established subsidiary of Sampaloc ERT, was present to provide assistance.

The operation was headed by Brigade Director (BDir.) Bryan Fernandez and Deputy Director (DDir.) Louise Loyola, with the aid of Officer Candidate Maria Angelica Pahati.

The team was able to tend to two (2) patients who experienced dizziness. They were given due care as needed.
