Creating a program specific with patient's goal is important in order to achieve it. Also, family support can make rehab potential excellent. This is a case of post-MI patient.
Improvement was evident after 12 PT sessions.
Powerlifters usually train for failure with heavy loads. Their soft tissue tightens which can lead to poor muscle perfomance and the worst case scenario is it can result to injuries.
That is why having a monthly maintenance therapy can help decrease the pain, tension and improve overall performance.
Neck & Upper back pain could sometimes be bothersome when it's already too much.
Combination of:
TENS - for pain relief
Ultrasound & Hotpacks - to relax those tight muscles
MFR- to mobilize & release soft tissue adhesions
Stretching & exercise - to correct muscle imbalance are ways to treat them
Lastly, don't forget to fix your posture.
Patient had surgery due to 3rd & 4th MCP fracture. Physical therapy was needed after surgery but he was not able to go to PT treatment. Thus, complications such as tightness and contracture of soft tissue occurred.
Improvement was evident after 6 PT sessions.
