“It was a mixture of emotion for our team. I guess the first one is all of us are so proud to be able to represent the country and on top of that to bring home medals, which was what we were planning to do. CRICKET | Five days before the formal opening ceremony of the Cambodia 32nd Southeast Asian Games, the Philippine women's T10 cricket team is already assured of a silver medal after advancing to the final round.
The Blue Caps beat host Cambodia, 45-44, in the semifinals on Saturday, according to the Philippine Cricket Association.
The championship game is on May 6.

MANILA, Philippines — Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz feels the Philippine weightlifting team seeing action in next month’s Phnom Penh Southeast Asian Games can get the job done despite her absence.
“I can’t predict how many medals ang mapapanalunan nila, but one thing I know, lahat ng Filipino lifters did their best in training and I know they can deliver and halos lahat sila can win a medal in the SEA Games,” said Diaz.

Nesthy Petecio has adjusted her training schemes in accordance with the wishes of her three new coaches.
The 31-year-old Petecio said this as she gets ready to compete in the 57-kg action of the women’s events of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games boxing competitions in Cambodia.
Petecio, along with fellow Tokyo Olympic silver medalist Carlo Paalam and a 12-member squad will plunge into action when matches are held from May 6 to 14 at the Chroy Changvar Convention Center.
