The Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta’ (BDI) held its meeting on April 13, 2023 to discuss the Moon Sighting Activity for this coming Eid’l Fit’r 2023.

The said meeting highlighted the final date in the conduct of Moon Sighting which will be held on April 20, 2023 (Thursday) │ 29 Ramadhan 1444 AH at the different designated places, as follows:

1. Polloc, Parang, Maguindanao;
2. Tantawan, PC Hill, Cotabato City;
3. Timako Hills, Kalanganan II, Cotabato City;
4. Tapian, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao;
5. Iligan bay, Iligan City (Lanao Team);
6. Sunkist Seaside, Pahut, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi;
7. Pantalan, Jolo, Sulu; and
8. Isabela, Basilan.

After the Moon Sighting, the different groups will convene to provide report to the Officer-In-Charge (Deputy M***i) and will officially announce the result of the Eid’l Fit’r Moon Sighting. The venue of the announcement will be held at Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta’ Office.

The LET Results October 2022 are out! PRC announces that 49,783 out of 91,468 (54.43%) passed the elementary level while 71,080 out of 139,534 (50.94%) passed the secondary level.

"It is further announced that of the 49,783 elementary teacher passers, 29,183 are first timers and 20,600 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 50,549 passers are first timers and 20,531 are repeaters."

On the Pedicab Fares within the Campus

In response to the students' public concern on the Pedicab/Motorcab fare within the campus, the MSU-SSG proposed for the uniform and fixed rate in the campus. As approved by the APC through the Office of the Vice Chancellor, MSU-SSG's proposal campus was forwarded and approved by the Office of the President. During the joint meeting of MSU-SSG and PKF heads, the following rates for students were approved and are to be observed within the campus.

1 person = 10 Php
2 persons = 15 Php
3 persons = 20 Php
4 persons = 25 Php

It was also agreed during the meeting that there will be a STUDENTS' DISCOUNT to be implemented; thus, students must ALWAYS WEAR their University ID Cards to avail the discount intended only for them. The mentioned rates will NOT be given by the drivers UNLESS the students present their University ID Card.

The PKF heads encourages all students to remain vigilant and only ride tricycles with MSU Stickers. Tricycles who fail to comply with these rates set by the PKF must be reported to the PKF. Students are urged to remember and take a picture of the these tricycles' sticker numbers and report it directly to the PKF headquaters.

In addition, the following rate adjustments shall be observed by students travelling to the following municipalities.

MSU-MARANTAO (and vice versa) = 30 Php
MSU-WATO (and vice versa) = 40 Php

SEIZES HIGH POWERED FI****MS AND AMMUNITIONS IN BARANGAY NANAGUN, LUMBAYANAGUE, LANAO DEL SUR.

The 5th Infantry (DUTY BOUND) Battalion captured high powered fi****ms and ammunitions at Brgy Nanagun, Lumbayanague, Lanao Del Sur, on 16 September 2022.
After receiving the information, an entrapment operation was planned to capture the Lawless Elements (LLEs). Troops under 1LT JULIUS C DIVINA (INF) PA and 1LT CEDRIC M GENOVAÑA (INF) PA, were deployed in strategic positions along the expected route of the LLEs to contain and prevent their escape. Elements from the Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office were also called in to support the operation.

With the cooperation of 5IB troopers and PPO LDS, three (3) individuals onboard a Blue Toyota Revo SUV with plate number XEG953 were apprehended. Recovered from their possession was one (1) US CAL.30 M1919A4 Machine Gun with 200 rounds of 30 Cal. ammunition and one (1) R4A1 Rifle Cal. 223-5.56 mm mod. R4 with 100 rounds of 5.56 ammunition.

Apprehended individuals, fi****ms, vehicle and other captured materials were turned-over to Lumbayanague MPS for proper disposition and filing of cases.

The successful Joint LESO operation proves that LLES have no place in Lanao del Sur especially in the areas controlled by the Duty Bound troopers. Despite the 5IB’s primary focus on defeating the Local Terrorist Groups in LDS, it is also the strong desire of the unit to help the community attain a peaceful and secure environment by preventing the proliferation of loose fi****ms and illegal drugs. One less firearm, one life saved.
