A filling is way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape.

But this case had an old tooth filling that is stained, chipped off and needs restorative treatment. Space is prominent due to loss of teeth in between. Space closure and removal of irritation to the soft tissue area is done.

Oral prophylaxis with fluoride varnish is recommended for children 14 years and below twice a year, adults can benefit too. Fluoride is a natural mineral that can prevent cavities by protecting and strengthening (remineralize) enamel which is the outermost layer of the teeth. Talk to your dentist for recommendation. 🦷✨
