As Undas is now underway, we welcome all visitors and residents traveling across Masbate and the surrounding regions. To ensure a safe and comfortable journey during this busy season, please review the following guidelines.
UV Express vans are currently available at Masbate City Terminal Port, offering convenient transportation between Masbate City and Balud. For those arriving from Iloilo City, Kalibo, or Carles, MBCA Gezel Kelvin Shipping Lines provides ferry services from Culasi Port in Roxas City to Calumpang. We encourage travelers to confirm schedules in advance, as adjustments may be made to accommodate the increased demand during Undas.
Please be reminded that, in compliance with Executive Order No. 25, Series of 2024, bringing “lechon” or any pork products from outside Balud is prohibited due to African Swine Fever (ASF) prevention measures. Your cooperation is essential in helping protect local agriculture and livestock.
We also encourage all travelers to adhere to health protocols, including wearing masks in crowded areas and practicing hand hygiene, to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Thank you for your understanding as we work together to make this Undas season safe and meaningful.

At the heart of Poblacion, Balud, Masbate, the afternoon sunset offers more than just a picturesque view; it is a window into the town’s deep connection with its maritime heritage. For generations, the waterfront has been a vital part of the local way of life, where fishermen have passed down the art of the sea from father to son. As the sun sets, painting the sky with warm colors, you witness these custodians of the sea returning to shore, their silhouettes framed by the golden light.
This daily ritual symbolizes the harmony between the people of Balud and the ocean—a relationship rooted in respect, sustenance, and tradition. The sight of fishermen skillfully handling their catch evokes a sense of timelessness, a reminder of the community's enduring reliance on the bounty of the sea. Watching the sunset here is not only an appreciation of nature’s beauty but also an immersion into the living history and culture of a town shaped by the rhythms of the ocean.
Today, we celebrate not just the day you were born, but the incredible journey of a visionary leader whose passion and dedication have transformed Balud into a shining beacon of tourism. As the Chief Tourism Operations Officer of MTCAO, you have woven a vibrant tapestry of culture and adventure that inspires us all. May this special day ignite new adventures and bring you boundless inspiration as you continue to elevate our community to dazzling heights. Here’s to you—may this year be filled with triumphs, laughter, and cherished moments that reflect the remarkable legacy you are creating. HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!🥰🥰🥰
