“Do not go where the path may lead; Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Emerson's quote inspires us to embrace individuality and innovation by choosing our path rather than following the well-trodden one. It encourages courage in the face of conformity, urging us to create new ways that others may follow, thus leaving a lasting impact on the world. The quote's essence is about innovating, trusting our instincts, and making a unique and meaningful mark on the world.

"Say something positive, and you'll see something positive" - Jim Thompson

This quote by Jim Thompson is a powerful reminder of the influence our mindset and words can have on our reality. When we choose to focus on positivity and express it, we begin to shift our perspective. It's about the energy you put into the world—what you focus on grows. By speaking positively, you see opportunities instead of obstacles, solutions instead of problems, and strengths instead of weaknesses. This approach can transform your experiences and interactions, creating a ripple effect that uplifts you and those around you. It's a simple yet profound way to cultivate a life filled with optimism and hope.

" Be a Lifelong student. The more you learn, the more you earn, and the more self confidence you will have"

Embrace lifelong learning as the key to unlocking your true potential. The more you learn, the more opportunities you create for yourself, both in terms of financial success and personal growth. Knowledge builds confidence, empowering you to face challenges with assurance and achieve your goals with unwavering determination.

Pasadong prelim exam cutie! Let's manifest a good luck on our exam through sharing this lucky clover leaf.

But let's be reminded of David Bly's words, "Striving for success without hard work is like trying to harvest where you haven't planted." While we manifest and pray to pass our exams, let's exert effort to pass through studying our lessons.

May we all pass our exams and continue to strive on the next term. Good luck, Dameans!

"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.” —Steve Jobs"

This quote from Steve Jobs reminds us that work is more than just a means to an end; it's a significant part of our lives. To feel fulfilled, it's essential to engage in work that resonates deeply with us—work that we consider meaningful and impactful. The pursuit of such work is a journey, not a destination. Don't rush or settle for less if you haven't discovered your passion yet. The right path will become clear when you approach your search with patience and a genuine desire to find what truly moves you. Trust your instincts, follow your passions, and remember that the journey is part of the discovery. Your heart will guide you when you've found what you're meant to do.

As the new semester begins at Notre Dame of Midsayap College, flu season brings challenges like colds, coughs, and fevers. With many tasks and responsibilities already piling up, taking care of your health is vital.
According to the NCIRD (2024), here are the tips on how to keep the flu at bay while staying on top of your studies:
1. Avoid close contact: Avoid close contact with people who are sick. When you are sick, keep your distance from others to protect them from getting sick, too.
2. Cover your mouth and nose: Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. It may prevent those around you from getting sick.
3. Clean your hands: Washing your hands often will help protect you from germs. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub.
4. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth: Germs can be spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth
5. Practice good hygiene and other healthy habits: Cleaning frequently touched surfaces, such as countertops, handrails, and doorknobs regularly can help prevent the spread of some illnesses. Also, get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage stress, drink fluids, and eat nutritious food.
As the preliminary examination is fast approaching, adopting these habits will help you navigate flu season and stay on track with your academic goals. KEEP SAFE, NOTRE DAMEANS!

LIBRARY DAY OF LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER For the Academic Year 2024-2025, the NDMC Learning Resource Center encouraged the entire school faculty to perform a selection of all library references.

It's great that the NDMC Learning Resource Center organized a Library Day last March 14-15, 2024 with the theme "A New Landscape in Global Libraries: Strategies, Innovation, and Collaboration". This event appears to have been a comprehensive initiative to enhance the quantity and quality of the library resources available to the faculty that supports the institution's curricular needs.

The involvement of nine (9) publishers in the event demonstrates a collaborative effort to provide a diverse range of resources for the faculty. The opportunity for faculty to choose books and resources tailored to their courses and programs is an excellent way to ensure that the library collections align with the specific needs of each department.

As part of the program, Engr. Ronniel D. Labio, VPAA, humbly delivers his warm message to all publishers who joined during the event for support and partnership with NDMC in providing updated resources to the NDMC community.

The scheduled times for selection, categorized by departments, also seem well-organized, allowing for a systematic and efficient process. The presence of librarians to support and assess the chosen resources further ensures the quality and relevance of the selected materials.

Overall, this Library Day of Learning Resource Center was a success with the commendable effort of the NDMC-LRC Directress, Ms. Ana Liza C. Santañez, RL, to the Administrators, Department Deans, Faculties, Librarians and Students to continuously sustain the academic resources available to the library that are beneficial to every library user in our institution.

The athletes were cheered on by their teammates, who were dressed in their own teams' uniforms. This made the atmosphere fun and encouraging. Overall, Sidlak Day 2 was a resounding success.

It showcased the talents and skills of the students of NDMC, while also promoting sportsmanship and teamwork among the participants. It was a day filled with camaraderie, healthy competition, and excitement.

With many more activities and matches still to come, college sports fans have a lot to look forward to in the next few days.

Durian can treat insomnia.

Durian is rich in tryptophan which, after entering the body, goes to the brain and is converted into serotonin, producing a feeling of happiness and relaxation. This serotonin then floods the blood with melatonin, creating a feeling of tiredness and eventually making a person fall asleep.
