Kaugnay ng pagdiriwang ng Ika-22 Anibersaryo ng Kawanihan sa Pamamahala sa Piitan at Penolohiya-Rehiyon MIMAROPA na may temang "Makatao at Maka-Diyos na. Serbisyong Publiko, Tungo sa Maunlad, Maayos at Progresibong Pagbabago", ang Pandistritong Piitan ng Odiongan ay nakilahok sa sabayang Pagsasagawa ng Programa para sa Komunidad sa pamamagitan ng pamamahagi ng masarap na Sopas sa mga residente ng Odiongan na pinangunahan ni SJO3 John Garcia, Katulong sa Pamamahala ng Pandistritong Piitan.
Kasabay din nito ang pamimigay ng iba't-ibang mga babasahin sa mga benepisyaryo na magbibigay ng kaalaman at makakatulong sa kanila sa kanilang pang-araw araw na pamumuhay.

Samantala, pinangunahan ni JO1 Tita G Balleras ang pagbabasa ng maikling kwento sa siyam (9) na mag-aaral sa kinder garten mula sa pagappayo ni Gng. Rosalie G Jose, sa mababang paaralan ng Progreso Este sa pamumuno ni G. Archie Galicia, Punong G**o ll. Nagkaroon rin ng pamimigay ng masarap na sopas para sa mga bata pagkatapos ng aktibidad.

Naging matagumpay ang mga nasabing aktibidad sa pangangasiwa at walang sawang suporta ng aming Tagapamahala ng Piitan, JSINSP EFREN S OLIVAR, sa tulong at gabay ng aming Direktor ng Pangrehiyon, JSSUPT CLARENCE E MAYANGGAO.

On July 26, 2024 at 1330H-

The workforce led by SJO3 John Garcia, as directed by JSINSP EFREN S OLIVAR, Acting, Jail Warden proceeded to Anahao Integrated School and joined the Brigada Eskwela 2024 in preparation for the incoming School Year 2024-2025.

This initiative was conducted under the guidance of JSSUPT CLARENCE E MAYANGAO, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, MIMAROPA Region, with the supervision of JSUPT MIRASOL V VITOR, Asst. Regional Director for Administration.

𝘉𝘙𝘐𝘎𝘈𝘋𝘈 𝘌𝘚𝘒𝘞𝘌𝘓𝘈 2024 𝘭𝘭 𝘉𝘈𝘠𝘈𝘕𝘐𝘏𝘈𝘕 𝘗𝘈𝘙𝘈 𝘚𝘈 𝘔𝘈𝘛𝘈𝘛𝘈𝘎 𝘕𝘈 𝘗𝘈𝘈𝘙𝘈𝘓𝘈𝘕

Brigada Eskwela was created to address challenges in public education by improving school environments before classes begin each year. Through volunteer efforts and community participation, schools are cleaned, renovated, and made safe and conducive to learning.
And one of the supports provided by this unit headed by JSINSP EFREN S OLIVAR, Jail Warden is the provision of some supplies needed for improving the school environment.

This act of kindness was supported by JSSUPT CLARENCE E MAYANGAO, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, MIMAROPA Region, in supervision of JSUPT MIRASOL V VITOR, Asst. Regional Director for Administration.

On 0800H, July 26, 2024

Odiongan District Jail personnel, led by JSINSP EFREN S OLIVAR, joined hands with Brgy. Officials, parents, and volunteers to clean and prepare Progreso Este Elementary School for the upcoming school year, in line with the Brigada Eskwela 2024 initiative. The event aimed to promote a clean and safe environment for the pupils and teachers.

This activity was conducted under the guidance of CLARENCE E MAYANGAO,, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, MIMAROPA Region, with the supervision of JSUPT MIRASOL V VITOR, Asst. RegionalDirector for Administration.

Clean-up drives help ensure citizens' rights to a clean, healthy environment and allow participation in protecting the environment for present and future generations to ensure the environmental safety and health, promoting sustainability, awareness, and restoring community pride and wildlife habitats.

Thus, jail officers of this unit under the supervision of JSINSP EFREN S OLIVAR, Jail Warden conducted a Coastal Clean Up drive at Brgy. Tabin-Dagat, Odiongan, Romblon in relation to 13th BJMP Community Relations Service Month with the theme:"Nagkakaisang Kawanihan at Pamayanan Tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas".

This successful activity was done under the guidance of 𝙹𝚂𝚂𝚄𝙿𝚃 𝙲𝙻𝙰𝚁𝙴𝙽𝙲𝙴 𝙴 𝙼𝙰𝚈𝙰𝙽𝙶𝙰𝙾, Regional Director, MIMAROPA Region.

𝙸𝚗 𝚙𝚑𝚘𝚝𝚘𝚜 l Odiongan District Jail personnel with the supervision of 𝙹𝚂𝙸𝙽𝚂𝙿 𝙴𝙵𝚁𝙴𝙽 𝚂 𝙾𝙻𝙸𝚅𝙰𝚁, Acting, Jail Warden participated in the conduct of simultaneous 𝚃𝚛𝚎𝚎 𝙿𝚕𝚊𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝙰𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚒𝚝𝚢 held at the back portion of this jail facility with a total of 60 bangkal and 65 mahogany seedlings planted.
This activity was done in relation to the 33𝚛𝚍 𝙱𝙹𝙼𝙿 𝙰𝚗𝚗𝚒𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚊𝚛𝚢 with the theme: “Makatao at MakaDiyos na Serbisyong Publiko Tungo sa Maunlad, Maayos at Progresibong Pagbabago” and in celebration to the 13𝚝𝚑 𝙱𝙹𝙼𝙿 𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚝𝚢 𝚁𝚎𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜 𝚂𝚎𝚛𝚟𝚒𝚌𝚎 𝙼𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚑 with the theme: “Nagkakaisang Kawanihan at Pamayanan Tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas”.

📣ZUMBASAAN FOR A CAUSE 2024

At 03:30PM of June 24, 2024, SJO3 John G Garcia, Assistant Jail Warden together with personnel of this unit, dancers of Odiongan Dance Fitness Association, Brgy Officials of Tabing Dagat, Fire Officers and personnel of OMPS joined the Zumbasaan for a Cause 2024 with the theme “Sayawan, Basaan Para Kabataan sa San Juan” at Firmalo Boulevard, Brgy. Tabing Dagat, Odiongan, Romblon.

The activity is in celebration of the Feast of St. John De Baptist and to support the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Program which aims to spread awareness in the community and promote a healthier lifestyle.

Part of the proceeds of the fund-raising activity will be used to buy essentials and hygiene kits for the PDL of this unit.

📣TRADITIONAL MONDAY FLAG RAISING CEREMONY

about 07:45AM of the same date, personnel of this unit, headed by SJO3 John G Garcia, Assistant Jail Warden, attended the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony led by the Odiongan Rural Health Unit.

After the ceremony, RHU extended their gratitude to everyone who participated in their activities last Friday including color fun run, blood letting and talent show.

Ms. Mary Jude Gabat also thanked and awarded Certificate of Appreciation to all participants for the successful Tree Planting Activity at the Aurora, Patoo, Odiongan, Romblon and Water Reservoir at Rizal, Odiongan.

📣FEEDING AND GIFT-GIVING IN CELEBRATION OF MA'AM MEREN'S BIRTHDAY

On June 20, 2024 at around 10:00am, Ma'am Delia Rhodora Meren, conducted Feeding and Gift-giving activity in this facility in celebration of her 59th birthday.

The activity started with a Holy Mass to thank GoD for another year for the life of the celebrant and a new opportunity to be a blessing to others.

A total of One Hundred Ten (110) PDL benefitted from the feeding activity and each of them received hygiene kits.

Odiongan District Jail is very grateful for the life of Ma'am Meren who never forgets to help our PDL by celebrating her birthday yearly in this jail.

May you have a bountiful and healthy life ahead, Ma'am! God bless you always! ♥

📣HANGING OF FLAGLETS

06|12|2024

The period from May 28 to June 12 is known as Flag Days. During which, the flag is prominently displayed to honor the nation's heritage and history.

In line with this, personnel and PDL of this unit conducted the hanging of flaglets in different areas inside the Jail. It was done to serve as a reminder of the sacrifices made by Filipino revolutionaries many years ago and a time for Filipinos to reflect on their national identity, pride, and unity.

📣TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY

06|12|2024

At about 6:30am of the same date, SJO3 John G Garcia, Assistant Jail Warden, together with seven (7) personnel of this unit and other agencies, participated in the Tree Planting Activity at the Library of Trees, Aurora, Brgy. Pato-o, Odiongan, Romblon in relation to 126th Independence Day Celebration with the theme “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan”.

The activity started with a short program facilitated by staff of Office of the Mayor followed by the demonstration on the proper planting of trees. After the program, Odiongan Municipal Tourism Office led by Ms. Mary Jude F. Gabat distributed the three hundred (300) fruit bearings seedlings to be planted within the 500 square meter area. Activity ended successfully around 8:00am.

📣DONATION FROM DSWD

This unit, headed by JSINSP EFREN S OLIVAR, would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to DSWD, through Mr. Melzandro Mariano, for donating One (1) roll of 8x100 Sackolyn (Trapal) and Oceans Best Tuna for jail use and consumption of our PDL.

📣MONDAY FLAG RAISING CEREMONY

At about 07:45AM of the same date, SJO3 John G Garcia, Assistant Jail Warden, with five (5) personnel of this unit, attended the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony facilitated by the Local Civil Registrar’s Office at Odiongan Municipal Town Hall.

This activity is under the guidance of JSSUPT CLARENCE E MAYANGAO, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, through the leadership of JSINSP EFREN S OLIVAR, Acting Jail Warden.

📣PERSONNEL INFORMATION AND EDUCATION

At about 4:00pm of the said date, JSINSP EFREN S OLIVAR, Acting Jail Warden, conducted Personnel Information and Education.

It was done to inform and educate the personnel of the memoranda from higher offices and to address the issues and concerns of personnel and other jail matters.

This activity is under the guidance of JSSUPT CLARENCE E MAYANGAO, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau

📣COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP DRIVE

06|08|2024

In line with the Implementation of Kalinisan sa Bagong Pilipinas Program of the DILG, and also in Celebration of the 13th BJMP CRS Month 2024, personnel of this unit, headed by JSINSP EFREN S OLIVAR, conducted a community clean-up drive at Old Lighthouse, Firmalo Blvd., Odiongan, Romblon

This activity aims to promote a cleaner environment for all and hopefully encourage the community to initiate in keeping their surroundings clean and safe.

📣ALS LEARNERS GRADUATION AND MOVING-UP CEREMONY

The ALS (Alternative Learning System) program of the BJMP (Bureau of Jail Management and Penology) in the Philippines is designed to provide education to PDL who did not have the chance to complete their formal schooling. This program is part of the broader efforts of the Department of Education (DepEd) to reach marginalized sectors and provide educational opportunities to all Filipinos, regardless of their circumstances.

On May 29, 2024, under the leadership of JSINSP EFREN S OLIVAR, Twelve (12) PDL ALS Learners of this unit graduated- Five (5) JHS and Seven (7) were Elementary.
This event was held at Odiongan South Central Elementary School (OSCES), with theme, "Kabataang Pilipino para sa Matatag na Kinabukasan ng Bagong Pilipinas".

The ceremony was graced by the Mayor's of Odiongan-Hon. Trina Firmalo-Fabic and Ferrol- Hon. Christian Llorca Gervacio and Pastor Milfa Sulabo Magay as the Guest Speaker.

PDL were properly escorted by personnel of this unit, headed by SJO4 John G Garcia, Deputy Warden.

This activity is just a proof that incarceration is not a hindrance to finish our studies and continue reformation inside the jail.

MAY 24, 2024

📣 FEEDING ACTIVITY SPONSORED BY MS. AIDA ESCANO

at about 8:00am of the same date, through the leadership of JSINSP EFREN S OLIVAR, Acting Jail Warden, Ms. Aida Escano, owner of Lakbayin Restaurant, together with Kag. Leony Love Fadero, and Six (6) staff, conducted a feeding activity to PDL of this jail.

The short program was hosted by JO2 Shaira Lyn F Familara who also delivered the Welcome Address in behalf of Odiongan DJ. Ms. Escano gave an inspirational message and encouraged all PDL to never lose their faith in God.

A guessing game was conducted to entertain PDL and prizes were given to winners. The feeding activity benefitted One Hundred Six (106) PDL in total.

This activity was under the guidance of JSSUPT CLARENCE E MAYANGAO, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau.

📣COORDINATION TO PSWD AND MR. MARK ANTHONY "COCOY" REYES FOR MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

On May 22, 2024, under the leadership of JSINSP EFREN S OLIVAR, JO2 Shaira Lyn F Familara, Jail Nurse, coordinated with Provincial Social Welfare and Development for medical assistance to One (1) PDL under our care.

Upon validation, the case was referred to Mr. Mark Anthony Reyes, OIC and Admin Officer of RPH-Malasakit Center. As a result, Sir Cocoy will be donating an oxygen tank and nebulizer to this jail to be utulized in case emergency arises.

📣 LECTURE ON TIME ALLOWANCES FOR PERSONS DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY (PDL)

*Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) is part of the BJMP's Paralegal Services which provides for the reduction of a PDL's jail time as a reward for good behavior, participation in rehabilitation programs, and adherence to Jail rules.

On May 22, 2024, JO2 Rufa I Magracia, Unit Paralegal Officer, conducted a lecture on Time Allowances to Seven (7) newly committed PDL as part of their orientation..

This activity is under the guidance of JSSUPT CLARENCE E MAYANGAO, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, with the supervision of JSINSP EFREN S OLIVAR, Acting Jail Warden.

📣FINAL PRESENTATION PORTFOLIO ASSESSMENT AND INTER-DISTRICT REVALIDA

OOA 0900H 08 May 2024, Eight (8) Personnel from Dep-Ed School Division Office Romblon headed by Mr. Ernie M Pamor, BAE, from Central Office, appeared in this unit to conduct Final Presentation Portfolio Assessment among ALS Learners supervised by SJO1 Riza M Fetalvero, unit ALS IM.

Six (6) PDL ALS learners under elementary level and Six (6) learners under High School level after having accomplished and completed their necessary requirements, attended the Reading, Writing and Portfolio Assessment conducted to assess their reading comprehension and writing ability held at Odiongan District Jail.
