Here is our perfect 4 days itinerary (based on driving rental/personal car) :
Day 1 - 4 hours in Amman, 1-hour drive to the dead sea. Stay a night at the dead sea resort
Day 2 - Enjoy 2-3 hours at the dead sea, drive 30mins to Mount Nebo (1 hour is enough there), drive 4 hours to Wadi Rum. Stay a night at the camp in the Wadi Rum desert
Day 3 - 4-5 hours Wadi Rum excursion, drive 2 hours to the Wadi Musa, the nearest town to Petra. Stay a night there.
Day 4 - 6-8 hours in Petra (1 day was enough for us), drive 3 hours back to Amman. Night in Amman.
