EVERY SOARING BIRD HAS A GREAT WIND TO BACK THEIR WINGS UP
In every challenge that we encounter, it is truly a luxury to have a support system; people who criticizes constructively, people who teaches passionately, and people who are willing to learn with us. Once more, Ozamiz City National High School brought pride and glory by bannering the Green and White’s flag high in the recently-concluded Numerical Ability National Competition. The remarkable achievement by our dear diamonds would not have been possible if not for the effort, dedication, and love of our dear coaches.
With a very proud and grateful heart, we congratulate:

𝑽𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒔 is a collection of Methods or Sutras to solve numerical computations quickly and faster. It consists of 16 Sutras called Formulae and 13 sub-sutras called Sub Formulae, which can be applied to the solving of problems in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, conics, etc. All the sutras and sub sutras of Vedic maths help to perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately. The importance of Vedic Maths can be explained in various ways. The application of Vedic maths in the simplification of numerical problems is many times faster than the modern methods of calculations. Sometimes, this way of simplifying numerical calculations does not require paper and pen also. Thus, learning Vedic maths saves time and improves the interest in learning more applications of maths.

The Schools Division of Ozamiz City under the leadership of Schools Division Superintendent Nimfa Regalado Lago, PhD, CESO VI, is proud to send 103 of its brightest students to compete in the International Vedic Maths Olympiad (IVMO) 2023 which is conducted offline and online today at Ozamiz City National High School.
The competition tests the students' speed, problem-solving skills, and mathematical acumen in Vedic Maths, an ancient Indian system of mathematics that emphasizes speed and mental calculation.
In recent years, the Divison has consistently ranked among the top performers in the national and international mathematics competitions.
The IVMO is an annual event that is open to students from all over the world.
Good luck to all the participants. Thank you so much to all the parents and coaches for your unwavering support.
