BASIC MANNERS WE SHOULD NORMALIZE
1. Don’t call someone more than twice continuously. If they don’t pick up, presume they have something important to attend to.
2. Return borrowed money before the lender remembers or asks for it. It shows integrity and character. The same applies to umbrellas, pens, and lunch boxes.
3. Never order the most expensive dish when someone is treating you to a meal.
4. Don’t ask awkward questions like, “Oh, so you aren’t married yet?” or “Don’t you have kids?” or “Why didn’t you buy a house?” or “Why don't you buy a car?” It’s not your concern.
5. Always hold the door for the person behind you, regardless of gender, age, or status. You don't diminish yourself by treating someone well in public.
6. If a friend pays for a taxi, try to pay next time.
7. Respect different opinions. Remember, what’s 6 to you might look like 9 to someone else. A second opinion can offer a valuable alternative.
8. Never interrupt people when they’re talking. Let them express themselves fully. As they say, hear them all and filter what you need.
9. If you tease someone and they don’t enjoy it, stop and never do it again. It shows consideration and appreciation.
10. Say “thank you” when someone helps you.
11. Praise publicly, criticize privately.
12. There’s almost never a reason to comment on someone’s weight. Just say, “You look fantastic.” If they want to talk about losing weight, they will.
13. When someone shows you a photo on their phone, don’t swipe left or right. You never know what’s next.
14. If a colleague mentions a doctor's appointment, don’t ask what it’s for. Just say, "I hope you’re okay." Don’t put them in the uncomfortable position of having to tell you their personal illness. Wait for them to share details with you if they choose.
15. Treat the cleaner with the same respect as the CEO. People will notice if you treat everyone with respect.
16. If someone is speaking to you, staring at your phone is rude.
17. Never give advice until you’re asked.
18. When meeting someone after a long time, unless they want to talk about it, don’t ask their age or salary.
19. Mind your business unless it directly involves you.
20. Remove your sunglasses when talking to someone on the street. It shows respect and acknowledges the importance of eye contact.
21. Never talk about your wealth in front of the poor, or your children in front of those who are barren.
22. After reading a good message, say "Thanks for the message."
APPRECIATION is the easiest way of getting what you don't have.

After a few PT sessions, we finally able to make her walk using a walker with a moderate assist of two, as she was bed bound for almost a year from a stroke. 🙏🏼
The parents might tell their kid, Mag aral ka ng PT kasi bagay sa'yo without researching first what physical therapy is all about.
Below are the 6 Pros and Cons to consider in choosing physical therapy as a Profession.
1. EDUCATION. Physical Therapy Profession requires a significant investment in time, energy, and money. The entry level to practice physical therapy in the Philippines is to earn first the 4-5 year Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BSPT) and then obtain a license to practice. However, education doesn't end there, physical therapists also need to get a masters/ doctorate, and advanced training and/or specialization to advance their practice and position.
2. JOB SECURITY. Although its honorable to say "I'm a Physical Therapist" the truth is, the employment for PT is very low. Hospital Rehabilitation Centers and companies hire only a limited number of physical therapists. As a result, some PTs find jobs in BPO companies and home health, and those PTs who have unconventional and nonconformist mindsets prefer to become self-employed by setting up their private clinics.
3. VARIETY OF WORK ENVIRONMENTS. Not all physical therapists have the same nature of work. some work in the hospital as hospitalists PTs, some in the community and nursing care facilities, and others in the universities as lecturers, in private companies as consultants, in sports leagues and fitness gyms as trainers and coaches, in research facilities as researchers, and private clinics as private clinicians.
4. JOB SATISFACTIONS. Physical therapists assess and treat both clients and patients. Clients are those individuals who are healthy and just need physical therapy to maintain their health, while patients are individuals who are stricken by a disease or injury and need to undergo physical therapy to regain their health and functions again. Physical Therapist's responsibilities are to screen, assess, evaluate, predict recovery, set goals, and plan and administer treatment for their patients and clients.
5. RESPECT IN THE FIELD. Since the physical therapy profession is new in the healthcare field and not so famous compared to doctors, dentists, optometrists, and veterinarians, some find physical therapists' jobs laughable, and some tease PTs calling them "Manghihilot and Masahista. Maybe because of the term 'Therapist'. THERAPY means TREATMENT. If it's physical therapy, then it's treating a person with an injury or disease with the use of Physical Treatment. Unlike doctors - physicians who use oral drugs, and surgeons who use surgery to treat patients, physical therapists use physical agents, corrective exercises, external braces, mechanical tools, and specialized techniques to heal their patients.
6. POTENTIAL FOR PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL BURNOUT AND COMPASSION FATIGUE. Clinical Physical therapists who work with patients rather than clients are prone to burnout and compassion fatigue because they are repetitively exposing themselves to secondhand traumas especially if they are dealing with challenging ones. Since this profession requires empathy, this profession is prone to burnout and compassion fatigue ending their day emotionally and physically drained.
SO DO YOU STILL WANT TO PURSUE PHYSICAL THERAPY?

A 13-year-old girl died after being bitten by a rabid dog last February, according to Darlene Cay's exclusive report on 24 Oras Weekend.
“Sabi niya, 'Mama hindi na ako maka-inom, hirap na akong maka-inom ng tubig. Mama, baka may rabies na ako.' Doon sa narinig ko na may rabies. Sabi ko, 'Bakit? Nakagat ka ba ng aso?'” said Jamaica’s mother, Roselyn.
It turned out that Jamaica had been bitten by a dog last February at the Vitas Park in Tondo. At the time, she told her parents that she had been caught on a wire, which had caused her wound.
“Sabi ko bakit ngayon ka lang nag-sabi? Sabi niya, Mama, sorry Mama, sorry sabi niyang ganon. Sabi ko hindi naman ako magaglit sayo kung sinabi mo, dapat naagapan. ‘Ma, mamamatay na ba ako, mamamatay na ba ako?’ Doon ako kinabahan parang gusto ko nang mag-hysterical,” Roselyn said.
According to doctors, it may take a few days, weeks, or months before the symptoms of a person infected with rabies appear. So, if an individual is bitten, licked, or scratched by a dog, it would be best to clean the wound immediately and rush to the nearest health center or hospital.
The injury should not be ignored because rabies is deadly.
