Pope Francis, 86, was admitted to a hospital in Rome on Wednesday, with a respiratory infection that will require a stay of a few days, the Vatican said.

"In recent days Pope Francis has complained of some breathing difficulties," Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said in a statement.

"Several NASA missions have followed up to study this gamma-ray burst, which scientists believe was caused by the birth of a black hole that formed when the core of a massive star collapsed under its own weight," NASA explained.
