It includes a rich set of features that enable administrators at all skill levels to deploy, configure, and protect the full SAP system stack quickly, reliably, and confidently.

Minimum Linux server system requirements for installation:

- OS installation: 1024 MB total RAM or 512 MB RAM per CPU core (whichever is higher), 41 GB HDD minimum

- SAP application installation: 200 GB free disk space minimum, RAM varies by application

- SAP HANA installation: 24 GB RAM minimum

Home Depot recently switched to a system based on SUSE’s Rancher and K3s technology for running its more than 2,300 remote locations. Here's what that means.

K3s is a minified version of the Kubernetes platform for managing containers that Rancher designed specifically for edge locations such as Home Depot's retail stores, where resources might be limited and trained IT people might not be readily available. The whole platform weighs in at less than 50MB, and only requires 512MB to run (compared to a standard Kubernetes deployment's average 4GB minimum RAM requirement), making it easy to use in single node clusters.
