Scammer Alert!!!

Just this afternoon, I received an inquiry about one of our items that is for sale for Php 16K. Tumawad pa nga siya for a last price so I decided to give it for Php 15.5K. She quckly confirmed the order without verifying any other details.

Kinuha ko details nya for the shipping and she was able to provide an address but I noticed that she did not confirm her contact number.

She then asked me for my GCash account for the payment. Nung nabigay ko na she quickly told me that she had transferred the payment thru WorldRemit.

After several minutes. I received a notification for a KKB request for Php 2.5K from "Worldremit Money Transfer" for an apparent Php 18K transfer.

Tinanong ko siya bakit ako pa yung kailangang may bayaran. It's very suspicious that I am the one selling tapos ako pa may need bayaran. Ang sabi nya ay may fee daw kasi pero Php 18K naman daw marereceive ko in total to cover the cost of the item and the fee.

Another thing is bakit sa KKB pa need padaanin? Way daw ni GCash yun para makuha yung fee and inulit nya na Php 18K daw naman yung pinadala nya. Dito pa lang sa mga sagot nya it's already obvious that this is a scam.

The KKB feature in GCash is used to handle "ambagan" between a group of people. The originator can send a KKB request to a group of people for their share and these people will receive a notification containing the amount they need to pay. Once they confirm, the amount will be sent to the originator and deducted from their balance.

So if this is a valid money transfer, hindi dapat dito pinapadaan ang fee if there is any. When I called this out, she blocked me.

I am posting her FB profile and our conversation to warn others that are also transacting thru GCash since her account is still active as of the moment. Malamang na this is a fake account but if ever familiar sa inyo ang name or picture on the profile, might as well inform the person that it is being used by scammers.
