After the darkest hour, the sun will shine again. ☀️


A total solar eclipse is expected to cross North America on April 8, 2024, crossing over the United States, Canada, and Mexico. When the moon 🌙entirely obscures the sun's ☀️ surface as it moves between the sun and the earth, it is known as a total solar eclipse. It will become darker in the sky, like dawn or dusk. The corona, or outermost layer of the star that is typically invisible to humans due to the sun's brightness, can be seen during solar eclipses🌑. The solar corona is made up of thin, white streams of plasma, or charged gas, that radiate outward from the sun.

In Mexico, the eclipse will start at approximately 11:07 a.m. Monday, April 8 at PDT, before entering Texas at 1:27 p.m. CDT. At 3:35 p.m. EDT in Maine it will conclude. According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the Great North American Eclipse, a total solar eclipse that will take place on April 8, 2024, will not be visible in the Philippines. You might be able to see part of the eclipse even if you are not in the path of totality and will not be able to witness the entire event.

You must be in the 115-mile-wide line of totality in order to see this amazing total solar eclipse. The route runs from Texas to Maine via Mexico. You'll only observe a partial eclipse if you're not on the path of totality. Get yourself into the path of totality if you can, as the difference between a total and partial solar eclipse is like the difference between day ⛅and night!🌃 The duration of totality, or the eclipse's highest point, increases with your proximity to the path's center (Exploratorium, 2024). Be aware that exposure to sunlight without appropriate eye protection🕶️, even for brief periods of time, can cause irreversible damage to your retina. It can even result in solar retinopathy, which is blindness. As the retina heals, some people may be able to see again, but many will not, according to the Baylor College of Medicine.

According to NASA🚀, a solar eclipse in 2024 can create a "360-degree sunset," which is a glow that resembles a sunset in every direction. In addition to the solar eclipse, there was a chance to spot two planets and possibly a comet. When the sun is blocked out, the temperature drops noticeably. Animals may also behave differently in response to sudden darkness in the sky.

Make sure to mark down the date of October 2, 2024, as the Southeast Pacific and far southern South America will witness a 7-minute, 25-second annular solar eclipse.

As their brilliance with the vastness of the world of art soared, victors came into light. 💡✨ The awarding of the triumph will take place on the same day as the Art Jam the Arts Club, be there as they are recognized by the cosmos above.🌌☄️

What a spectacular celestial event we hope to see in the predawn skies of November 18, 2023. 🌃 The Leonids are well-known for producing fireballs and earth-grazermeteors, and are one of the most visible meteors away from city lights ♡ (For further information, read below).

Don't miss out on this spectacular meteor, which is viewable with the naked eye. Enjoy watching the dazzling and colorful Leonids, with their long tails descending near the horizon, without binoculars or telescopes. To get the most out of the experience, find a dark area and go outside for a few minutes before observing the meteor showers, so your eyes can adjust to the darkness.

Facts about Leonids:
→ If the meteors' paths are traced, they appear to originate from a place in the constellation of Leo, hence the name.

- According to predictions, the Northern Taurid Meteor Shower is expected to peak on November 13, 2023, at 0:21 UTC. While the Northern Taurids may not exhibit distinct peak periods, they captivate observers from late October to early December due to their overlapping occurrence.
