𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) President Ms. Rina Lopez, Vice President Mr. Edric Calma, and other key officials paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Luigi Gorriceta to discuss initiatives of Early Childhood Development and training programs for Child Development Workers and Teachers.

KCFI, is a dedicated partner of the Early Childhood Care and Development Council and has been engaged in raising awareness of the importance of Early Childhood Development.

To gain better knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of the conditions of child development centers in the municipality, they will conduct visitations and dialogues with its Child Development Workers and Teachers, Parents, and other local officials working with children.

Present during the visit were SB Member Rhia Sotomil, MSWD Officer Luzviminda Sanchez, and NCDC Focal Person Edna Lizada.

Pavia, Philippines – Mayor Luigi Gorriceta has solidified Pavia's commitment to inclusive economic growth and community development by pledging support to People Systems Consultancy’s groundbreaking Public Private Partnership, The SALE Initiative (Sustainable and Adaptive Local Entrepreneurship).

Joined by officials from the Municipal Planning and Development Office and the Municipal Agriculture Office, Mayor Luigi Gorriceta warmly welcomed representatives from People Systems Consultancy. Kate Palomar, Country Manager; Keith Vincent Jablo, Development Consultant for the Philippines; and Jezza Simora, Project Executive, presented the vision and objectives of The SALE Initiative during a recent meeting.

The SALE Initiative aims to empower local communities and micro-entrepreneurs through the promotion of sustainable business practices and the enhancement of financial independence.

By providing essential training, resources, and ongoing support, the program seeks to elevate livelihoods and improve the overall well-being of residents in Pavia.

The collaboration between Pavia LGU and People Systems Consultancy signifies a shared commitment to building resilient communities and fostering sustainable development practices.

The SALE Initiative is poised to create a positive impact by empowering local entrepreneurs and nurturing a conducive environment for business growth.

Julia Sohlen Orada, a Pavianhon who won 2 Gold Medals in the recent Palarong Pambansa 2024 at Cebu City visited Mayor Luigi Gorriceta earlier this afternoon.

She won the gold in the 4 x 50-meter and 4 x 100-meter Swimming Freestyle Relay. She was accompanied by her mother, PNHS Sports Coordinator Ma'am Anne Novillas, and LYDO-Designate Marc Anthony Janeo.

Mayor Luigi Gorriceta presented her with a Mayor's Commendation, in recognition of her outstanding performance, sheer dedication, and meritorious accomplishment. Such a momentous feat is a great manifestation of the distinct Filipino and Pavianhon qualities of worldwide record-holders.

Thirty (30) Barangay Tanods from the Municipality of Pavia completed the three-day workshop for Tanod Academy (Training of Trainers) at the Pavia Pilot Elementary School last July 10-12, 2024.

As they return to their own barangay, they are expected to share their wealth of training knowledge, training exercises, and impart their practice teaching techniques to their fellow barangay tanods.

The activity was in line with the observance of the 29th Police Community Relations Month, with the theme “Ligtas Ka Sa Bagong Pilipinas.”

Key officials who were present during the Closing Ceremony were Mayor Luigi G. Gorriceta, SB Member Ariel Gerada, Police Lieutenant Colonel Jojo U. Tabaloc (Chief of Provincial Community Affairs and Development Office, and Police Major Dadje Delima (COP, Pavia PNP).

In pursuit of recognizing outstanding students in academics, the Local Government of Pavia will have the 4th Mayor Luigi G. Gorriceta Excellence Award on July 12, 2024, 3pm at PNHS Gymnasium.

The program aims to acknowledge Pavianhon students in Elementary (Grade 6), Grade 10, Senior High School, and College Graduates (Magna Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude) who have endured and excelled academically to rise above the challenges, struggles, and limitations. By recognizing the efforts of these outstanding individuals, it is hoped that they become good examples who are worthy of emulation by other Pavianhons and further perpetuate the culture of excellence.

The MAYOR LUIGI G. GORRICETA EXCELLENCE AWARD reflects the local government’s dedication to providing quality education to Pavianhons as part of his BELIB Advocacy. As one of his top priorities, Mayor Gorriceta believes that through education, the town builds its foundation and cultivates its next set of leaders.

LOOK: Mayor Luigi Gorriceta through the Local Youth Development Office has extended financial assistance to the Pavia National High School Journalism Team which will be competing in the 2024 National Schools Press Conference, on July 8-12, 2024, at Carcar City, Cebu.

Financial assistance was given to ease the burden of the students so they could focus on the competition. Mayor Luigi Gorriceta praised the team for their dedication and encouraged them to make their school proud. He also acknowledged the parents and coaches of the team for their unwavering support and guidance.

PAVIA DRRMO PAYS IT FORWARD AS ONE OF THE RESOURCE PERSONS FOR COLLAPSED STRUCTURE SEARCH AND RESCUE (CSSR) TRAINING OF ANTIQUE PDRRMO

For the second time this year, Pavia DRRMO sent Mr. Dexter Bugna, its search and rescue specialist as one of the resource persons for the Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue Training of Antique Provincial DRRM Office held on June 17 to 27, 2024.

Mr. Bugna joined other CSSR resource persons from Iloilo Province composed of PHO HEMS and Pavia BFP Fire Station upon request of the Office of Civil Defense VI. He also composed the training team for Talisay City DRRMO’s CSSR Training held on May 19 to 28, 2024.

As the first CSSR-trained local government unit in Panay Island, Pavia is committed to assist the Office of Civil Defense IV in capacitating other LGUs with the knowledge and skills necessary to search for, stabilize and extricate victims trapped in collapsed structures using the safest and most appropriate procedures.

The occasion, which took place at the Zuri Hotel and Suites in Mandurriao, Iloilo City, recognized the crucial roles that these exemplary taxpayers have played in the development and prosperity of the province's economy.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to the top taxpayers in various categories:
