Hiraya Design Studio We feel you. Despite your busy schedule, you still dream of a home and a business space where meaningful memories and great ideas are made. We also know how you're thinking of everything that needs to be done to make this happen.
The Hiraya architects have been quite busy lately.
So in the meantime, we're featuring a vlog by our client, documenting the construction progress of one of our projects* in the province and when Archt Chanelle did a site visit.
*Scope: design only. Construction is done MG Konstruct. https://www.facebook.com/MG-Konstrukt-333295760623746.

A meaningful Christmas season to you and your family!
Pandemic restrictions are easing up for travel but it wouldn’t be that bad to have your own beach house you can always go to.
In this project, the vacation experience of indoor-outdoor living is enhanced with a wrap around octagonal lanai fused with an octagonal main house.
The best way to maximize views, tropical sun and sea breeze.

Our heritage traditions can exist harmoniously with the contemporary - even in new construction projects.
Case in point:
Barista's Kitchen, Brazil where "it was decided to align tradition with contemporaneity to reinforce the idea that both are not exclusive concepts, but that they can be side by side, illustrated by the wood stove next to the induction cooktop".
It is all about finding the right balance
and understanding who you are designing for.

After the long hiatus in social media, the Hiraya architects are back with more interesting and informative content so you can get a glimpse of our design process.
Today, we try to answer a curious question: "How can I make my bathroom more comfy and 'maaliwalas'?"
A useful tip is using natural light to your advantage.
Example: smart use of glass blocks!

Love coffee shops? Here's the house for you.
Fulfilling the owner's desire to bring "starbucks" to their home, a modern semi industrial look was used.
A combination of cement finishes, a glass curtain wall, & touches of wood and metal accents all evoke the coffee shop vibes we all enjoy.
The narrow rectangular lot was maximized by utilizing minimum setbacks for more outdoor seating and garden nooks surrounding the house.
There is no feeling of confinement for this seemingly cafe-from-home set up since generous front and rear sliding glass doors allow for easy air flow and convenient views of the refreshing gardens.
