Clay pot rice must be one of the most underrated Cantonese dish of all time! Little do people know, the recipe has existed for over 2,000 years. The minerals in the clay pot enhances the flavor of your ordinary rice and gives it an earthy taste that will make you want it even more (especially if it’s cooked over charcoal and mixed with our homemade sweet soy sauce) 😉
I sought long and hard to find Chinese bacon (lap yuk/腊肉) in Manila, given that it was almost an impossible task, I decided to make my own. Imagine having this with Cantonese sausage (lap cheong/腊肠) and our best-selling brisket and tendon, you might be in for a treat! Try it out yourself! 😉
Our Cantonese sausage is the perfect pair to our brisket and tendon. It’s an underrated kind of flavor explosion. Wait until you try it yourself!
