SOME POINTS ABOUT TELECONSULTATION:
1. This teleconsultation platform was conceived due to the present situation we are in, where patients cannot go to doctors’ clinics and hospitals to seek consult.
2. Consultation will be done through the Messenger app.
3. As we may have been aware of, from previous news around, full privacy on these formats are not guaranteed.
4. Diagnosis will be based solely upon all the details that will be disclosed by the patients/guardians, as an actual physical examination cannot be performed in this platform. Teleconsultation can never be compared to a regular in-clinic consult where physical examination are done thoroughly on the patient.
5. Again, any medical diagnosis, treatment, advice or health education provided by the doctor to patient/guardian is entirely dependent on the accuracy of the provided details on symptoms and the medical history.
6. As this teleconsultation has a lot of limitations, if symptoms persist or worsen, and you cannot reach me online, the patients/guardians may feel that an ER consult is warranted, please do so. Please proceed to St. Luke’s Medical Center (exercising all precautions).
