The University of the Philippines Information Technology Development Center (UP ITDC) will be offering the Certificate Program in Information Technology starting January 2018. The Certificate Program, which shall have a duration of six months, will be conducted from January to June, Mondays to Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Two IT tracks shall be offered: (i) Applications Development, and (ii) Network and Systems Administration. The UP ITDC will be offering the stated courses when there are enough interest for each track.

UP ITDC conducts IT Fundamentals Course Online

Building a solid IT career is now more accessible as the UP Information Technology Development Center (UP ITDC) launches its online IT Fundamentals course on 23 January 2017.

The IT Fundamentals course, which covers the foundation of UP ITDC’s Full-time Certificate Program, introduces its students to basic IT subjects such as Computer Systems, Programming, Data Structures, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Object Oriented Programming, Database Systems, and Software Engineering.

While the 3-month course will primarily be conducted online, students have the option to use the UP ITDC laboratories that shall be available for hands-on course activities. There will be designated lab hours, which shall be supervised by the UP ITDC trainers.
