San Andres! The Department of Trade and Industry is inviting you on October 22, 2022 in the Celebration of Consumer Welfare Month!
We have various activities that you can enjoy!

The Department of Trade and Industry thru Negosyo Center San Andres conducted an Orientation on Entrepreneurship, Negosyo Center Information Advocacy and Consumer Education in Brgy. Mabini and Brgy. Agpudlos, San Andres Romblon today October 19, 2022.

Every October we celebrate Consumer Welfare Month and the activity aims to deliver the importance of this celebration to our consumers and to our MSMEs.

The activity was participated by around 60 (sixty) MSMEs, women's groups and consumers from said barangays. Ms. Mary Grace Hallegado, Trade and Industry Development Specialist of DTI highlighted the importance of being aware to Sustainable Consumerism in the Digital Age. Moreover, she discoursed the different types of cybercrimes that are currently existing in order to pose warning to our MSMEs and the consumers.

Present in the activity was Hon. Arlem Silanga, Brgy. Kagawad of Mabini who gave her warm gratitude to DTI for the effort on sharing knowledge to their constituents and Hon. Rolando Selosa, Brgy. Captain of Agpudlos who also expressed his warm welcome to the team and encouraged the participants to listen and learn from the discussion.

DTI Romblon have scheduled a number of consumer education until the month ends as part of the agency's celebration of the Consumer Welfare Month

DTI through Negosyo Center San Andres sucessfully conducted the day 1 of the two (2) day Skills Training on Walis Tambo Making at Barangay Marigondon Norte, San Andres, Romblon. Marigondon Norte is well known for its LUWAY production which is the raw material used for walis tambo. The activity was participated by the 35 members of The Good Samaritan Association, SLP beneficiaries of DSWD. Present during the activity are SB Member Hon. Barony Galan, Barangay Captain Ernie Enguillo, Mrs. Loida A. Guntan (Trainor), SLP-Project Development Officer Marfel Dalumpines, and Negosyo Center Business Counselor for San Andres Maica Fere-ira.

Decon Jayson Ganoria with the presence of Hon. Arsenio Gadon, PD Noel Flores, CTIDS Orville Mallorca, NCPC Jude Pavillar and NCBC Maica Fere-ira prayed over the office of DTI- Negosyo Center San Andres!

The Department of Trade and Industry thru the Negosyo Center awarded livelihood kits to 5 beneficiaries from San Andres under the Livelihood Seeding Program - Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) today.
DTI Provincial Director Noel Flores, CTIDS Orville Mallorca, and Negosyo Center Coordinator Maica Fere-ira awarded the kits with Hon. Mayor Arsenio G. Gadon, Municipal Tourism Officer Arnel Tacasa. The livelihood kits will help local businesses of the said municipality who are kakanin vendors and farm owners.
The LSP-NSB is a DTI assisted livelihood project which aims to assist in the business recovery of MSMEs affected by the pandemic.

Out of 17 5th to 6th class municipalities during the 9th Annual Summit of the MIMAROPA Region for the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) 2021 through the support of Department of Trade and Industry.
The plaque was awarded by Mr. Rudy Mariposque DTI MIMAROPA Assistant Regional Director, Mr. Noel DR. Flores DTI Romblon Provincial Director, Mr. Orville Mallorca Chief Trade and Industry Development Specialist with Hon. Mayor Arsenio Gadon.

𝐃𝐓𝐈 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐢𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐰𝐚 (𝐏𝐏𝐆) 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬

Livelihood kits were awarded to fifteen (15) beneficiaries from San Andres, Romblon under the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) program.

PD Noel DR. Flores and DC Orville F. Mallorca distributed the kits in San Andres National High School. The livelihood kits are micro-business packages containing tools and materials for handicraft manufacturing and supplies for sari-sari store.

The DTI- PPG is a livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program which aims to assist individuals and families affected by fire incidents and other calamities, including health disasters like the COVID-19 pandemic, and those who will avail of the Balik Probinsiya Program to recover and/or start their businesses.

DTI Romblon is set to distribute more livelihood kits to different municipalities around the province before the month ends.
