The Department of Science and Technology III Provincial S&T Office - Bataan (DOST III PSTO- Bataan) provided innovative funding assistance to Magpoc's Araro Cookies and Sari-Sari Store (Magpoc’s) for the adoption of automated cookie moulder machine and other equipment to enhance production processes.

Located in Samal, Bataan, known for delectable araro cookies, Magpoc’s continuously innovates by adopting new technologies and developing new flavors of araro cookies and new araro-based products. Through the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading (SETUP) Program, the automated cookie moulder machine acquired by the firm mechanizes the laborious process of dough moulding and cutting.

Additionally, Magpoc’s procurement of a 3-deck oven, cooling and proofing racks, band sealer machine, cutter plotter, printer, and a handheld inkjet printer significantly improved the overall efficiency and productivity of the company.

The turnover ceremony for the cheque was attended by several notable figures (from left to right), including SETUP Focal Person Ms. Reina D. Elayda; PSTO-Bataan Provincial S&T Director Ms. Catalina V. De Leon-Cruz; General Manager of Magpoc's Araro Cookies Ms. Cynthia M. Eusebio; and PSTO-Bataan SETUP staff Engr. Alyssa C. Tria and Engr. Patrick Evan E. Alegre. This initiative highlights DOST-SETUP's commitment to supporting local enterprises in enhancing their technological capabilities and boosting their competitive edge in the market.

We are deeply honored and grateful to be nominated as the Provincial Nominee in the Small Enterprise category for the 2024 Presidential Award for Outstanding MSME.
