BFP MIMAROPA Region headed by our Regional Director, SSUPT DAMIAN J REJANO JR, DSC, together with SUPT GAY F FLORENTINO, Deputy Regional Director for Administration facilitated Turn-over Ceremony of the Incoming and Outgoing Provincial Directors, 04 October 2021 at BFP MIMAROPA Regional Office via Zoom. Announcing the relief and reassignment of SUPT RAMEL B BORJA, designated as Provincial Fire Director, BFP Romblon and CINSP APOLINAR G ASILO, designated as Provincial Fire Director, BFP Occidental Mindoro respectively.
The pandemic has impacted almost every corner of life, causing global economies to stall, changing the way we work, interact with our loved ones, and stretching healthcare systems to the limit. We have been forced to implement harsh restrictions on human activity to curb the spread of the virus.
Consequently, Municipality of Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro headed by Mayor Eric Constantino together with the strength and force of Bureau of Fire Protection through the initiative and leadership of SUPT RAMEL B BORJA, an “Aggressive Community Testing” was implemented in seven sites of Abra de ilog and participated by 3,670 individuals from September 14-17, 2021. The event, which offered free RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) testing, was organized after the town had a surge in cases in mid-August.
12 BFP Personnel from the Philippine Arena Mega swabbing facility and selected off-site swabbers of BFP Occidental and Oriental Mindoro facilitated the said mass testing together with Philippine Red Cross, Department of Health, Office of Civil Defense and several volunteers.
BFP Occidental Mindoro is sad for the lost of a great leader our former Provincial Fire Director SUPT FERDINAND A SAMSON, DSC.
Prayers and fond memories are what we have to remember our dearly departed. Our most heartlfelt condolences to the family.
You are always loved and never forgotten. May your soul Rest in Peace, Sir! 🙏
