The celebration of the 126th Independence Day and the World Day Against Child Labor is more meaningful for the child laborers in the Municipality of Hamtic, Antique, who, together with their parents and guardians, happily received school supplies, groceries, preloved clothes and umbrellas from their "angels" through DOLE's Project Angel Tree in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Hamtic, Antique Provincial Government thru its PESO, Semirara Mining and Power Corporation, Integrated Multi-Purpose Cooperative and DMC CERI and some generous individuals. The DOLE 122nd Labor Day Celebration was made more meaningful in the Province of Antique by releasing financial assistance to St. Anthony's College amounting to P998,264.00 for its identified beneficiaries under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program.

The Labor Day Job Fair in the Province of Antique in partnership with LGU San Jose de Buenavista through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO) has generated 2,734 local vacancies, registered 985 jobseekers and 12 Hired-On-The-Spot (HOTS).
