SPORTSFEST IN CELEBRATION OF DOJ-PPA 48TH ANNIVERSARY

On July 3, 2024, a total of one hundred sixty- six (166) clients actively participated in the Sportsfest held at St. Cecilia Multi-Purpose Gym, Abar 1st, San Jose City in celebration of the DOJ-PPA 48th Anniversary. The activity started with preliminaries, a prayer led by VPA President Cyrus F. Tantiongco and opening remarks by CPO Dolores M. Sigua.

The office through the efforts by POII Jeshamaine M. Reyes invited a teacher and a Senior Pastor in the person of Mr. Edgar M. Legaspi, Jr., who shared an inspirational message on how to live a fulfilled life, appreciating the blessings, forgetting the past but get all the learnings and moving forward with omission of the failures of the past. The message was a fitting reminder for the clients as they had unpleasant experiences prior their joining the San Jose City PPO as probationers and parolees.

The message was followed by a Sportsfest composing of four (4) teams facilitated by ADAIV Marina P. Camus who also served as the game master. Each team prepared their cheer/yell then went on to play seven (7) more games. Games were purposely prepared to build teamwork, improve communication, boost morale, encourage creativity, build trust and come up with problem solving abilities and develop leaders among clients. Our VPA assisted and serve as either coaches, watchers and cheerers. The team having the most number of points was awarded as the over-all champion.

Two (2) Jail Decongestion Activity/Info-Drive on PD 968 was conducted by PO2 Jeshamaine Reyes at San Jose City District Jail on February 15 and 29, 2024.

February 6, 2024
in line with the celebration of love month, the office conducted a "Seminar on Maintaining a Healthy Relationship Between Couples" , Pastor Cyrus Jose F. Tantiongco/ VPA President served as the Learning Resource Provider for the activity.

After the seminar, PO2 Jeshamaine Reyes discussed GST Module 1 Sessions 1 and 2.
CPO Dolores Sigua facilitated the activities while AAIV Marina Camus served as the Emcee.
