Unity in Action: The Opening of Brigada Eskwela 2024

Through the leadership of our hardworking principal, Sir Joel R. Maltu, the opening of Brigada Eskwela was a resounding success. This achievement was made possible by the collaborative efforts of our dedicated teachers and committed stakeholders, all working towards a common goal.

Central to this effort were the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) Officers, led by their diligent president, Cyrus Abcede Cabangon. Alongside various club officers, these student leaders played a crucial role in ensuring the event's success. Their contributions went beyond mere participation; they actively led and inspired their peers in various tasks essential to Brigada Eskwela.

These student leaders took charge of painting old and unused wheels, turning them into colorful and functional elements within the school grounds. Arranged the books for distribution. They also groomed the grass in the ground area, significantly improving the school's overall appearance and ensuring a safe environment for everyone. In addition to these tasks, they painted classrooms, giving them a fresh and inviting look that will undoubtedly boost the morale of students and teachers alike. One of their most impressive projects was the creation of a greenhouse, aligning with our school’s environmental movement and demonstrating a commitment to sustainability.

The opening of Brigada Eskwela was more than a series of activities; it was a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved through unity and collaboration. The combined efforts of students, teachers, and stakeholders highlighted the profound impact of working together towards a shared vision. This event not only enhanced our school's environment but also reinforced the belief that greater results are possible when we act as one.

PROJECT TreeTY 2024: Nurturing Nature, for a Greener Future

On July 22, 2024, despite the heavy rain brought by Typhoon Carina, the spirit of the Salinungan Stand-Alone Senior High School (SSASHS) community remained unshaken. Faculty members, Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) officers, and dedicated parents braved the weather for PROJECT TreeTY (Tree, Thank You), a division-wide tree planting activity. This initiative, driven by the tireless and dedicated Principal Sir Joel R. Maltu and the enthusiastic SSLG President, Cyrus Abcede Cabangon, aimed to instill in everyone the importance of trees within the school community.

The downpour could not dampen the participants' resolve as they gathered on the school grounds, shovels in hand. Teachers, students, and parents worked side by side, digging holes and carefully planting saplings, their determination shining through the gloomy weather. The heavy rain only served to underscore the collective effort and commitment to fostering a greener environment.

Sir Joel Maltu addressed the assembled crowd, highlighting the significance of their efforts. "Today, we are not just planting trees; we are demonstrating our commitment to a sustainable future. This rain is a reminder of the challenges we face, but it also symbolizes the nourishment our trees will receive," he remarked. Cyrus Abcede Cabangon echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the SSLG’s dedication to environmental initiatives and community collaboration.

By the end of the day, the school grounds were adorned with new trees, each a symbol of hope, growth, and the enduring power of collective effort. PROJECT TreeTY successfully showcased that, rain or shine, the community's unity and determination could make even the most ambitious dreams take root and flourish.

Ipinagdiriwang natin tuwing June 12 ang Araw ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas mula sa mga dayuhang mananakop. Ito rin ang last day of celebration ng tinatawag nating Flag Days, na iginunita natin mula May 28.

Kaya on this day, alalahanin at parangalan natin ang ating mga kababayang isinulong at ipinaglaban ang ating mga karapatan bilang isang bansa at bilang isang Pilipino. Let us celebrate the Philippine Independence Day with pride and love for our country.

Pagbangon sa Kabila ng Pagsubok: Ang Kuwento ng Anim na ALS Graduates tungo sa kanilang tagumpay.

Sa isang makulay na selebrasyon, anim na mag-aaral mula sa Alternative Learning System (ALS) sa TVL strands ng aming paaralan ang matagumpay na nagtapos ng Senior High School. sina Michael T. Abad, Angelica F. Mariano, Erika M. Rivera, Ailene Joyce S. Tiburcio, May Ann U. Valdez, at Mary Ann V. Yarcia ay nagsilbing patunay ng hindi matitinag na pangarap at pagsusumikap.

Sa simula ng kanilang paglalakbay, puno ng pag-aatubili at kahihiyan ang kanilang mga puso. "Noong una ay nakakahiyang pumasok sa paaralan dahil sa aming edad at sa estado sa buhay," pagbabahagi ni Angelica F. Mariano. Halos lahat sa kanila ay pamilyado na, ngunit hindi iyon naging hadlang upang kanilang tahakin muli ang landas ng edukasyon. Ang kanilang determinasyon ay nagbigay daan upang muling buhayin ang kanilang mga pangarap, lalo na ang makapagtapos ng pag-aaral.

Ang kanilang pang-araw-araw na buhay ay puno ng pagsubok. Si Michael T. Abad, halimbawa, ay pumapasok sa konstraksyon upang makatulong sa gastusin. Si Erika M. Rivera naman ay nagtratrabaho sa kanilang bahay bago pumasok sa eskwela, habang sina Angelina F. Mariano ay inuuna ang pag aalaga sa anak bago pumasok at Mary Ann V. "May mga araw na halos walang tulog dahil sa dami ng gawain," kuwento ni Mary Ann V. Yarcia. Sa kabila ng lahat, hindi sila sumuko. Ang kanilang mga marka sa eskwelahan ay patunay na ang kanilang pagsusumikap ay nagbunga ng magaganda. Sabi ni May Ann U. Valdez, "Hindi hadlang ang aming edad dahil kung may gusto ka talagang abutin, aabutin mo kahit gaano man ito kahirap."

Lubos ang pasasalamat ng kanilang adviser na si Sir Renen Abenojar. "Nakikita ko sa kanila ang determinasyon at dedikasyon na bihira sa karamihan," ani Sir Renen. "Hindi nila sinukuan ang kanilang pangarap. Pangarap na magdadala sa kanila sa rurok ng tagumpay." Ang mga salitang ito ay hindi lamang papuri kundi isang patunay ng kahalagahan ng suporta at paggabay sa mga mag-aaral na nangangarap.

Ang pagtatapos ng anim na ito ay hindi lamang isang personal na tagumpay kundi isang inspirasyon para sa marami. Sa bawat hakbang ng kanilang pag-aaral, kanilang pinatunayan na ang edukasyon ay hindi natatapos sa edad o estado sa buhay. Ang kanilang mga diploma ay simbolo ng hindi matatawarang determinasyon at pagsusumikap.

Ang kuwento nina Michael, Angelica, Erika, Ailene, May Ann, at Mary Ann ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon sa lahat. Hindi alintana ang mga balakid, napatunayan nilang ang pangarap ay abot-kamay basta't may lakas ng loob at dedikasyon. Sabi ni Michael, "Kung may pangarap ka, huwag kang matakot na abutin ito. Kahit gaano man kahirap, kung buo ang iyong loob, makakamtan mo ang tagumpay."

Ngayon, habang sinasariwa nila ang kanilang mga karanasan, dala nila ang mga aral na natutunan at ang mga pangarap na kanilang naisakatuparan. Ang kanilang kuwento ay nagbibigay pag-asa at inspirasyon sa lahat ng nais muling bumalik sa pag-aaral, anumang edad o estado sa buhay.

Sa kanilang mga mata, ang pagtatapos na ito ay simula pa lamang ng mas marami pang tagumpay na kanilang tatahakin. Ang kanilang mga hakbang ay nagsisilbing gabay sa mga susunod na henerasyon na nais ding bumangon at mangarap. Ang kanilang kuwento ay nagpapaalala na sa kabila ng lahat ng pagsubok, walang imposible sa taong may pangarap at determinasyon.

This prestigious award is a testament to the relentless efforts of our dedicated community, led by our exceptional ESWM Coordinator, Ma’am Roleza M. Magno Roleza Mabazza Magno. Her tireless and selfless work, along with the enthusiastic support of the ESWM Club, has propelled our school to the top.

The journey to this remarkable achievement was far from easy. It required a series of strategic steps, collaborative efforts, and innovative eco-friendly initiatives. Under the guidance of our very supportive and dedicated Principal, Joel R. Maltu, EdD, our school community united with a shared vision of environmental stewardship.
