𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐅𝐅 & 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐘

Last September 15, 2023 had been a momentous and historic day for the entire Gil Montilla National High School - Cabadiangan Extension Community as it held the Send Off and Installation Ceremony for Ma’am Gina P. Sumogat and Sir Leonidas G. Hirro.

The ceremony commenced at 9‘clock in the morning and was graced by the array of respectable and honorable guests who were officials of the LGU-Sipalay and academic leaders from the SDO-Sipalay: Hon. Bobby Domingo, Sr. (SP Member), Hon. Candido Papasin, Sr. (Barangay Captain), Barangay Council, Dr. Ferdinand Sy, CESO VI (SDS), Sir Rolando Peralta, Sr. (PSDS), Ma’am Belen Cañete (EPS Science), Ma’am Cristina Zaragoza (EPS Math), Dr. Noeme Luces (EPS English), Dr. Agnes Paraba (EPS Araling Panlipunan) and Ma’am Edna Arbon (Principal of GMNHS Main). The processional march was also participated by SSLG President; Johnbert Ogoso, PTA President; Mrs. Leonora Cajolo, the Faculty Members of the school with the incoming and outgoing school head.

The said program was organized to pay tribute to the outgoing Teacher-In-Charge, Ma’am Gina Sumogat, who have served the school for almost 9 years. She have been a great leader and a kind fellow who deserves a grandest celebration of gratitude for her works and service ,thus, the faculty and students have prepared a dance number to entertain her which was followed by a heartfelt rendition of the song “Journey” that was sung by Rudylyn Mandahuyan, a grade 12 student. While the song melodramatically progresses, the teachers and students took it as an opportunity to extend their hugs, flowers and gifts to Ma’am Gina by which have left everybody in tears including Ma’am Gina, herself.

Subsequently, the day wasn’t solely all about goodbye’s but more of a celebration of success and accomplishments. Ma’am Gina Sumogat was tasked to take on a greater opportunity which suits her qualification and capabilities as a great steward of education. Rightfully as such true for Sir Leonidas Hirro who was appointed to lead the school as the new Teacher-In-Charge for his gift of leadership and vision towards progress and success.

The installation of the new school head was made official by the Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Ferdinand Sy and was followed by the turning over of the Key of Responsibility by Ma’am Gina Sumogat to Sir Leonidas Hirro. Well-wishes and Pledges of Support was then delivered by the guests coming from the LGU and SDO-Sipalay.

After the program, a banquet was shared by everybody to commemorate camaraderie, allegiance and united aspirations for the betterment of the school. It had been a day of sad goodbye, of hopeful beginnings but nevertheless, it is a day of reaping and a day full of blessings.

With that all good memories to treasure on and fondness of hope to hold on to, the entire school community was only left to say: “Muchas Gracias, Ma’am Gina Sumogat! Felicidades, Sir Leonidas Hirro!”

Halina’t ipakita ang pasasalamat at pagmamahal kina Ma’am at Sir! Makiisa sa Kagawaran ng Edukasyon (DepEd) mula Setyembre 5 hanggang Oktubre 5 para sa pagdiriwang ng National Teachers’ Month.

May temang “Together4Teachers,” sama-sama nating ipagdiwang ang husay at kadakilaan ng mga Pilipinong g**o na katuwang ng Kagawaran sa pagtupad ng isang bansang makabata at mga batang makabansa.

Abangan ang mga inihandang aktibidad ng Kagawaran at ng ating mga partner para sa mga g**o dito sa DepEd Philippines page.
